Rumor: The tooth fairy is very good to Maddox Jolie-Pitt

Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 6, has been pictured recently missing a couple of his front teeth. Supposedly, the tooth fairy has paid Maddox a very nice visit recently. Star Magazine cited several insiders close to Maddox’s mother, Angelina Jolie, 32, and father, Brad Pitt, 43, reporting that Maddox receives fifty dollars for each tooth that falls out. With at least two teeth missing recently, Maddox should be looking at a nice piggy bank sum of one hundred dollars.

Brad was recently quoted saying:

One of the things I’m most happy about for my kids is that they have a mother who, I think, is amazing.

The couple is also parents to son Pax, 3 1/2, and daughters Zahara, 2 1/2, and Shiloh, 16 months.

Wow. That’s a lot of money for a tooth. We always got $1, haha.

- M on

I really, really hope that’s just a rumor. No six-year-old needs $50!

- Jenn on

Damn, here I thought I was lucky when I got a dollar as a child! haha. a friend of mine came up with a clever idea and avoided the whole issue by making arrangements with the Tooth Fairy to leave coins from other countries for her kids to collect.

- Marie on

sorry, but i find that just appallingly excessive…

Sarah’s note: Me too, but given the source, I think the whole thing is crap.

- Linda on

Fifty bucks a tooth?! That’s a bit over the top. If they wanted to be extra generous, $5, but $50?! That’s nuts. And especially when you consider you’ve got 3 other little ones behind him who will be dropping teeth, they’ve set the bar pretty high from the start.

Granted, when you make millions for a short period of work, $50 is no big deal. But what’s the lesson here? Pull out your teeth and score cash? I’m a bit disappointed.

- Anna on

Good lord, the most that I ever got for a tooth was $1. I wonder what is so special about his little teeth *ponders* ….

- Kim on

$50 is a lot for a 6 year old. I doubt this is true, but if it was- it wouldn’t surprise me if Angie had him keep half in his piggy and donate the rest to some sort of charity.

- SavvyMama on

i got a whole quarter! Haha, im going to call my mom up, she owes me 49.75 for each of my lost teeth!

- morgan on

$50 bucks for a tooth? Wow, we always got a $1 too. I remember my 4 year old daughter seeing my mother’s bottom dentures and she looked at me and said, “Grandma is going to get a lot of money from the tooth fairy.” LOL

- Melanie F. on

I believe it’s true, $100.00 to a celebrity is like a $1.00 to us, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she gave him that

- gianna on

Like a friend would tell Star Magazine anything.

- Kris on

Yikes! And my husband thought it was too much to give our daughter $3 for her first tooth.

- Laura AS1 on

Do children lose teeth that young? I was thinking more like 8 years old not 6.

Either way, I don’t believe these things because they sound so far fetched. Not to mention Brad and Angelina just seem like they would do the standard quarter or dollar.

- virginia on

Point 1, it’s from Star Magazine. Surely a rumor.

Point 2, even if it were true, I’m sure Angie and Brad are great at teaching their kids how to manage $$$ and give back, so I wouldn’t even be worried.

- daphneesmith on

When I was a kid I got 5-10 dollars for each tooth I lost. I remember one time when I was at my grandmas house over the night, I got 50 dollars. My granny was always very freehanded when it came to money and gave me money any time I visited ever since I was 5. Now when I think back, I feel bad for accepting it all. But when my kids loose their teeth, they’re only getting 3-5 dollars. I think that’s more than enought for kids who just keep their money in their piggy bank.

- kirstin on

I got $5 for each tooth.
$50 is excessive…
Celebrity or not…

- Carrie on

i don’t find this story hard to belief at all. i bet it is true. Maddox already has his own macbook. He was pictured using it in Marie Claire a few months back when Angie was doing the interview/photoshoot for the magazine. The reporter stated that Mad preferred playing games on his laptop rather than using the crayons they offered him. I’m a 21 year old college student and even I don’t have a macbook lol (but i could sure use one, ma! lol) that’s an awfully expensive toy for a child!

- Michelle on

Jeez, i wonder how people would react if it was another celeb aside from “Brangelina” giving thier kid $50 per tooth. If “star” (aka an “unreliable source”) reported this on a celeb that is not as well liked as those two are, i can imagine that some people here would be ready to “crucify” that person for raising spoiled children or…etc… I dont really have an opinion on Pitt or Jolie, but i have noticed that alot of people are biased towards WHATEVER Brad and Angelina do….

- Marie on

My daughter lost her first tooth on her 6th birthday. The toothfairy (aka my husband) thought it was such a big deal that she deserved twenty dollars. I told him that it would be his job to explain why the toothfairy didn’t leave a twenty when the rest of the teeth fell out.

Now she only gets a dollar per tooth and is perfectly happy with that.

- Cristina on

not true.

If CBB is going to post rumors, I wish y’all would also post the other hundred rumors that are out there about the Jolie Pitt kids so readers could put into context how many false things tabliods write about this family.

How about the story that they got a dog for the kids? Zahara’s hip surgery? Brad walking out on Angelina and taking Shiloh? The one about Brad and Angelina throwing wine at each other and Maddox witnesses the whole thing? How about the one where they wrote Shiloh isn’t Brad’s daughter?

- Why cherry pick? on

i think i got $1 once(that’s an Australian dollar which is like $1.80 or something in the U.S.)then the next time, like a new dress or something instead of money… this story, if it’s true, is probably muddled somehow. maybe he gets $50 when he loses ALL of them?Star is not known for their scruples.

- ang on

My stepmom nannies for a pair of doctors who own several practices. Their twin boy and girl EACH got brand new computers for their 3rd birthday. They were using it like a pro by 4.

So $50 to Brad and Angelina is chump change to them. And if Maddox wants to spend his money in the same stores his parents frequent, realistically, he’ll need to lose more than 2 teeth to get something.

- lboog on

6 years old is definitely not too young to lose teeth!!! My son knocked out his first when he was about 2 1/2 and he’s been losing them fairly steadily since then. My kids are 6 and my daughter already has all adult teeth in the front, but still baby molars. My son has about 6 adult teeth too and has already lost 3 molars. Neither child has ever had a cavity. I had all my adult teeth by the time I was about 8 or 9. The only don side of that is that there’s a higher chance of needing braces because the child’s mouth is too small for all those big teeth!!

The “tooth fairy” typically brought me 50 cents to $1, which seemed like a lot back then. Our kids get either $2…. and when one loses a tooth the other gets a visit from the tooth fairy as well …. which was a bad habit to start!!! They also get chocolate milk sometimes instead of money. She also leaves “notes” for them and they get a real kick out of that. ;-)

- TwinMom on

I can believe that they would give him $50. They are probably starting to teach him now how to handle money in a way that is good for others. Maybe they have the tooth fairy give him $50 and teach him to save 10%, spend 20%, and donate %70 to charity. That way he’s still getting $10 for his tooth, saving $5, and donating $35. Ya know? And $10 to him is probably not much…with all of the other cool things he has, he really can’t go buy “something special” with his tooth fairy money like we all did if he’s only getting a dollar.
With all the money those kids stand to inherit, teaching them how to be thoughtful with their money is probably a great thing to start young.
I don’t see any problem if she actually does give him $50.

- Nicole on

Isn’t Shiloh 16 months old now?

- Annoyomus on

I’ll bet she gives it to him and tells him to pick a charity to donate it to or something. I couldn’t see her being excessive with money

- emzi on

Maybe $50 bucks for every tooth.I say a one time payment. haha

- kathylynn on

Wow~but like others have said, $50 to them is like $1 to our kids!

As for 6 year olds losing teeth….I teach kindergarten and loose teeth are a BIG part of my daily life!!!!

- Gabbie13 on

given all we know about Angie and Brad… I don’t believe a word of this.

Star magazine is not reputable.

And remember (since they thoughtfully marked it as such) it is a RUMOR!

I enjoy reading the rumors, btw!… interesting to see what the paparazzi will come up with to sell a rag.

- Kat on

I give my children $10 a tooth. I have 7 kids who are all loosing teeth at the same time and I am by no means rich so I guess $50 isn’t so much for someone who has more money than they know what to do with.I know when I was little I only got a dollar but that was over 20 years ago times are changing and parents are not doing the same things our parents did.

- Sherri on

i gotta admit, maybe my family were too generous, but we got either $20 or $50 a tooth too – honestly can’t remember it was over 15 years ago now. i have odontoplasia and am missing 18 teeth so its not like i made too much from it!
