Noelle Pikus-Pace announces pregnancy; expecting a daughter

Current World Skeleton Champion Noelle Pikus-Pace will skip the upcoming season as she prepares to give birth to her first child, a daughter, in January.

I’m really excited about it. I’m 6 months along and I can’t wait.

The 25-year-old plans to come back to the sport following the birth of her daughter to prepare for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

I’ll be back. I will be back. I know I’ll miss it.I’m already starting to miss it. So when I come back, I’ll be reallyready to have fun with it again.

Dad is Noelle’s husband, Janson Pace.
