Anna, I think her husband was saying that by calling the baby a her he was letting the cat out of the bag so to say. Because they wanted to keep it a secret, what gender the child was.

Interesting to hear their reasons for choosing that name. When I first read it I thought “Wow, what a name!!!”. I think it’s a great name. Oh and I don’t think she’s terrible because she didn’t call her unborn child “it”. Or did I misunderstand that part?
