My favorite get-fit activity with my 3 1/2 month old little boy is to snug him into his moby wrap and do squats and lunges all over the house. He has a great time with all the rockin’ and I tighten up my loose-tush at the same time!

Natalie on

My favorite activity has to be going for walks. I get the biggest high from a good walk and my son loves to be able to look at everything and enjoy the fresh air.

Amy B on

I agree, walking is my favorite to do with the kids, we get fresh air, exercise and always discover something cool.

Luke Sky Walker's Mommy *Kristen* on

We would take a walk after dinner. It would give me the chance to exercise a little bit, they loved the stroller and the fresh air always made them fall asleep easier.

rachel on

I wrap my DD2 into our ella roo rebozo and take the 35 minute walk to the library, pushing my 3 yo dd1 in her stroller.

Julia Schuck on

We laugh together! I’m terrible when it comes to exercise – I don’t run unless something is chasing me! (or I’m chasing a kid) With 6 kids it’s hard to find time and energy to exercise. But we find time to giggle – so I guess you could say, the rest of me is flabby, but my laugh muscles are pretty fit!

Barbara on

My favorite activity to do with my children is walking with them in their wagon or stroller. They are up to about 60lbs combined! Also pushing them in their swings they love to go really high – so it really works out your Arms.

Steph on

My exercise with my son was to do these squats while holding him. I him going up and down was a rush cause all I would get was huge smiles and tons of giggles on his part!

cara on

My favorite exercise is to dance to the Spice Girls or Abba (her favorites, not necessarily mine) with my 11 month old daughter. We also go on lots of walks.

Heather on

I love to put my 3 1/2 month old in her carrier and then along with her 4 year old sister we play “monster” where we chase each other around the back yard. You get a workout and have fun all at the same time!

Erin C. on

My favorite “get fit” activity with my 16 month old son is playing on the playground outside. Most of the time I am chasing after him. :-) That’s where I get most of my exercise! He just likes the slides.

Rachel on

I dance around the house with my son. He laughs and laughs and I get some excercise without feeling like I excercised!

Leeanne on

My favorite thing to do is go for walks with my double stroller with my 3 month old & 21 month old.The stroller itself is close to 50 lbs add over 40lbs of babies and it is quite the workout!!

Mamakraft on

We walk — stroller. But we also love to turn on the music and dance around all silly :)

Lauren on

My favorite activity with my little one is to hold her while I do squats. She likes the up and down motion and I get a little more weight to push up so hopefully my backside won’t be so big!

Lulu on

I have loved doing stroller fit classes all summer with my daughter. I also do mum and baby yoga.

Rebecca on

Before I was 26 weeks pregnant with my second baby (and pulled a muscle in my belly, ack! I’m 37 weeks pregnant right now) I loved to put my 2 1/2 year old in my mei tai and go for walks, or just dance. She always enjoyed it and it’s a great work out! Hopefully I’ll be able to sling two babies :)

Lilly on

My favorite thing to do is stomach crunches. After having my baby I had so much excess skin and looked like I was 5 months pregnant, then 3, and I sit her on my lap and do crunches and every time i come up I give her kisses. she loves it.

Jenn on

My daughter who is 18 months imitates every exercise that I try to do… Working on stretching hamstrings… She pushes on the backs of my legs trying to get them closer to my chest… Since she can touch the floor behind her head when doing these stretches… She tries to help

Liz on

My favorite activity with my two-year-old daughter is to do yoga. I know, technically I’m supposed to be relaxing and having “me time” during yoga, but it’s too cute to have her climbing over me, trying to get on my back or popping up between my legs asking “Mom, wha’ doing?” Hehehe.

ab on

I love putting my baby in the stroller and heading out in the fresh air and sunshine. All of my children have loved it as newborns and infants, and it not only gives them a chance to be out in nature, but the fresh air and exercise makes for a happier Mama too!

Susie on

My son absolutely loves bouncing up and down with me on my exercise ball. He just can’t get enough of it (he even complains when I try to get off, much to the chagrin of my sore legs!)

sara on

we take a family walk every night. this way we can all get caught up while getting some fresh air.

Sarah on

Most of the time, I dance with my 14 month old daughter. I hold her while I’m dancing with her and we just have the best time! She runs all over the place so that’s another way for me to get some exercise. I just set her down in the yard outside and she’ll go until I stop her. I also walk in our neighborhood with her in the stroller. I actually had 3 people tell me at work today that I’d lost weight! Talk about a great compliment.

Has on

I love to take the kids for walks. When my son was younger, I’d put him in the sling and his sister in the stroller and walk the block. Now that he’s bigger I can’t figure out how to put him in. :(

But we have a tandem so I still take the kids out when I have the time/energy.

I also love to lay on my back, knees bent with my kids (one at a time) on my shins and lift them up with them. The kids and I just laugh and have the best time doing that!

Melissa on

We live on the top floor of our condo building, so carrying my “solid” 8-month old up and down six flights of stairs everyday definitely burns some calories!

Heather on

We created a game we call “stroller soccer” – our daughter sits in the stroller, and my husband and I take turns in the other two positions – one of us manning the stroller, while the other stands facing the stroller and kicks a nerf ball. It’s a lot of fun chasing the ball around, and our daughter thinks it’s the funniest thing – it’s also teaching her how to kick the ball back!

Melissa C. on

My favorite exercise so far with my 7 week old daughter? All the cardio I get while dancing for her while she’s on the changing table. She’s started joining me now too, kicking arms and legs and laughing away.

Amy Jo on

My favorite activity is to go for walks with my children. Unfortunately that just isn’t enough – I know it. I need to loose some weight and get toned. This book sounds like just the kind of information I need.

Carrie on

My favorite activity with my 2 boys (3.5 and 2) is playing chase around our house. We have the perfect kitchen where we can chase each other in circles around the counter. We also play race cars: we start our engines, make revving sounds, and race around the kitchen.

Jennifer on

We love walking with our daughter, of course. But we’ve tried to create our own strength-training workouts as well. My husband and I do curls and presses with our daughter all the time – at 15 lbs, she’s just the right weight. He does bicep curls while she’s in her carseat, and I do chest presses while she giggles in my hands (very “airplane”-ish). I also do lunges and squats with her, which keeps her happy while I get a little workout!

diana on

My child and I go on a bike rides around town and jump on the exercize ball other than keep away from mom.

Heather on

We are big on the long long walks, and I try and throw some squats and lunges in there. Also, we bounce (and bounce, and bounce)!

Sarah on

My favorite get fit activity is to do Mom & Baby yoga!

Elizabeth on

My favorite get fit activity with Baby Sofia is ballroom dancing. I am an instructor at a local college and she comes with me. I strap her in a carrier to my chest and she laughs and laughs as my dance partner whirls us around the floor. Everyone wants to dance with her, so she has had numerous partners at only 3 1/2 months!

Meagan on

I take her for walks around town or we speed walk through the mall.

Doreen on

Well, it’s what I seem to do a lot of!! LOL That’s walking!

Nancy on

I have two that I love: Stroller Strides and Baby Yoga. I love that I get to do things with my little one and burn some calories at the same time.

charla on

Going for walks is great, and dancing with a babe is a lot of fun.

Caryn on

I love to dance with my baby!!!

Margaret H on

With a 5 weeks old boy in tow, walking with a stroller is the only option that I have right now. Sometimes I squeeze in some sits up during his naptime.

Hopefully if I win the Fit Mama book, it will give me more ideas on how to get fit faster since I have 3 weddings to go to this Fall :)

megan on

My favorite kid friendly exercise is running with my daughter in her jogging stroller. She loves it when we run to the park and all the animals are out. I guess I need the book for some more creative ideas.

chantalg on

my favorite is thing to do is hop in the pool and put my little pumpkin in her floating island while I push her floatie and I do kicks and water aerobics. she gets a big smile on her face and I get a cool workout and she chills in the pool too!

Jessie on

Our favorite get fit activity is running, jumping and playing outside on the playground equipment at our neighborhood park. We get a good workout and have a great time.

mdterp on

We love to dance!! I pick her up and we twirl and twirl until we get dizzy! It is the best sound in the world to hear my daughter laugh. She gets this deep down belly laugh you have ever heard.

Jessica

Jen on

Our favorite get fit activity is going out and finding a new park to explore.

Michelle on

I would have to say swimming and riding bikes, when smaller going to the park and going down the slide (yes me included) great activity.

Lorena on

my favorite is always a brisk walk w/my son…i plan to do that with the baby i’m expecting now.

melissa on

What is your favorite “get fit” activity to do with your baby?

I love doing tummy time, and looking into my little boys eyes :)

Myrna on

I walk and hike with my child in the stroller

Tara on

After reading many of the comments, I guess I am a slacker mom. My favorite thing to do is chase my 2yr old while carrying my 4mth old in my arms. My kids are quite attached to me, and me to them.

Nisha on

Shake, shake, shake…shake, shake, shake, shake our booty!!(or in my case booties!!) We love to sing and dance around any and everywhere. Alright, back to the shaking!!

JewelsHud on

My favorite activity is just for us to go for a nice walk outside – we get to see new things and explore but get fit in the process! Super fun!

CherJer on

I love to put baby Asher in his sling and dance around…

Tiph on

What is your favorite “get fit” activity to do with your baby?

I strap my baby (6 wks old) into the front carrier and go for a nice long walk. It not only is refreshing to get out in the fresh air, and have a change of scenery… but it’s also a great snuggle time for me and my daughter!

Maria on

It was my favorite thing (and Sophia’s!) to, while I am in a crunch position with my legs raised at 90 degrees, lay her on my calves on her belly facing me so she is parallel to the floor, hold her hands and do crunches. When I come up for a crunch I make a face or say BOO! and she LOVES it!

My dad would do that with my brother and I, there a pictures of us that my mom took, so I think its neat that I do that with my daughter :)

Amanda on

I put my 3-week-old in a sling and walk over the Brooklyn Bridge (it has some serious slope to it so it’s a good incline walk!), or I do push ups with my baby lying on the floor and kiss her belly before I push up.
