Lenny Kravitz proud of daughter’s career
Even with the pending release of a new disc, Lenny Kravitz explained watching his daughter, Zoe, 18, grow up is still “the highlight of everything."
Zoe, whose mother is Lenny’s ex-wife Lisa Bonet, appeared in a pair of movies this year, including the box office hit The Brave One. Lenny, 43, said he’s proud of his daughter’s career and the choices she’s made.
She’s a great human being and she knows what she wants to do with her life. She’s doing it in a very classy way — I’m very proud of her.
Despite the pressures of being a Hollywood teen, Zoe had no problem adapting to life in the spotlight. Lenny tried to not over-influence her childhood.
I don’t rule her life. I was put here to teach her what I know, and that’s what parents should do, and I feel like she has good knowledge to make good choices. You don’t have to be in the spotlight to have problems … it’s really about how you handle it.
Lenny’s new album, It Is Time for a Love Revolution, is due in stores next February.
