Update: Giveaway: Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow your Dreams DVD

Update: The winners are Shannon, whose daughters love Ariel, from The Little Mermaid) and Ashley, whose son, yes, SON, loves all of the Disney Princesses.  You go girl!  I mean, boy!

Disney_princess_enchanted_tales_folThe last thing I want Anya to be obsessed with is Disney or the Disney Princesses, but I do let her watch the free DVDs that I get from their PR company.  The most recent DVD we have received is Disney Princess Enchanted Tales – Follow Your Dreams.  Believe me, it’s not my first choice in kiddy programs but there’s only so much Wonder Pets you can take.  She refers to the DVD as "pincess" (princess) and brings me the DVD case when she wants to watch it.  She’s too young to understand the storyline but she likes the pretty ladies and talking animals and music.  I like that I have another video to alternate.

Watch the Extended 4 Minute Sneak peek and Jasmine’s Peacock Princess video. For more info, visit Disney.com.

Click Continue Reading for the synopsis.

We’re giving away two copies of the DVD.  To enter, post acomment telling us which Disney Princess is your child’s favorite andwhy you think so.  This one features Princess Aurora (aka SleepingBeauty) and Jasmine, from Aladdin.  The giveaway closes Tuesday,September 18 at 8 am.

My SON (Yes I said son) loves the Disney Princess series and It doesn’t bother me at all. My husband was a little foolish about it at first and said our son should be watching “boy” shows, but once I sat down and watched it with him, I didn’t mind at all. In these shows, there is no fighting and there is always a good message. I would love for my son to learn the right way to treat a lady and I feel that he will learn that watching these shows. I am sure I may get bashed from some women who do not think that my son or any boy for that matter should be watching Princess shows, but my son has his own mind and I let him make his own decisions. Thank you CBB for letting me speak my mind!

- Ashley on

My niece loves the Disney princesses. last year for her 3rd birthday we had a princess party in the park. where Princess Aurora and Cinderella came and played games with all the kids and did face painting. she absolutely loved it! her favorite is sleeping beauty or in her words sleeping booty ( had a little trouble with the word beauty which was too cute =) She loves all the singing and dances and sings to all the songs.

- Ellanore on

My sweet 4 year old loves all of the Disney Princesses! I remember when she learned about them. We were at my moms and she discovered the box to Cinderella. That was nearly 2 years ago and she’s been a fan ever since! For that reason, Cinderella is probably her favorite. For her 3rd Birthday, I made her a Cinderella cake and this year she had a princess themed party with all of the princesses. This DVD would definitely have her “Following her Dreams”.

- Barbara on

Hi there,

My name is Cheyane and my daughter Allana’s favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty. If I let her she would watch that movie all day every day. Allana also carries around this little doll that has rubber clothes. She has everyone of those dolls and plays with them each and every day. When we have to leave home she makes sure to grab the Sleeping Beauty doll. Whenever an adult makes a mistake and calls Sleeping Beauty Cinderella or another princess name Allana will actually yell at them and correct them because to her they are like Gods and everyone should know their names. Allana also has a beautiful set of princess sheets that (of course) includes Sleeping Beauty. Whenever Allana and I go to Walmart, Target, or Toys r us Allana runs straight for a Sleeping Beauty toy.

Cheyane

My daughters love the Disney princess. They are into the older cartoons like sleeping beauty, Little mermaid, Snow white. Those are there favorites. They enjoy this new ones well Iguess because they have all the princess in them. My daughter Deana fav or the new ones ins Disney Princess Enchanted Christmas. She loves it. They have one other and its sing along songs also very great. They turn on the karoke machine and get with it. I Think any little girl loves the disney princess and like to dress up like them. At least I havent seen one who doesnt yet!

- Brandy on

my daughter loves all of the princess. i think her favorite is probably belle since that is the movie we end up watching the most but she has a ton of princess stuff from all the princesses

- Angie on

My daughter’s favorite princess of all is Jasmine. I think she loves her spunk and attitude. I know that’s what I love about my daughter, and I think she sees that same spirit in Jasmine. Well, that and she wants a monkey as a pet. ;-)

- Anne on

My two year old daughter Lauren loves all of the Disney Princesses but her favorite is Cinderella. She has to watch the movie at least once a day or else she will parade in her costume all day. I asked her why she loves Cinderella so much and she said “mommy Cinderella is soooo nice and bootiful (beautiful). I think that sums it up- Cinderella is a wonderful example of being kind to others no matter what. She is generous, thoughtfull and I think it shines through. Thank you CBB for allowing us a forum to share our opinions. I love this site!!

- Aracely on

My daughter’s favorite is Mulan…
“Because she’s tough!” She’ll accompany this reasoning with a kick and karate chop.

- AlexR on

My daughter loves Belle! (Or maybe it’s the whole singing candlesticks and teapots that draw her in!) She loves the pretty dresses and the magic :)

- Anastasia on

Well, my niece, who is three, loves Cinderella! Last may we visited Walt Disney World and got to meet all of the princesses. From then on out – she referred to the princesses as her friends. “My friends the princesses” She was just so cute!

- Karen on

As a mother of two toddler girls you could only imagine how many Barbies, baby dolls, Dora toys and of course Disney Princesses we have in our home. At first I thought princesses would be a phase in my house, however it has gone into a fullborn obsession. My oldest daughter has been in love with Cinderella since the day she got her first Princess costume. Now at four years old she refuses to wear her hair up, as Cinderella wears hers down (this has been a headache as she is now in preschool and her hair is always in her face). My youngest at two years old has been in love with Aurora as Aurora is kind to animals in the forest and she is a true animal lover. It still amazes me and others when asked who her favorite princess is and she replies Aurora. Not too many 2 year olds know her as Aurora, only Sleeping Beauty. I thought this would fun and rather awesome to enter as both my girls birthdays are coming up and I know that both would love to have this and love the fact that they “WON” it.
Thanks to letting me share/brag about the loves of my life!

- Brooke Ferguson on

My 4 year old Sadie loves all the Disney Princesses. She will only wear dresses or skirts – never pants, because Princesses don’t wear pants. When I pointed out that Jasmine wears pants, she told me that those were pajamas. She will wear pants to bed only! For several months when she was 3, she insisted we call her “Sadie-Jasmine”. The name Sadie is a derivative of “Sarah” which means – you guessed it – Princess!

- Julia Schuck on

My 2 year old daughter Isabelle loves Cinderella! She calls her “cimmerella” and wants to watch it almost daily. I think she likes the singing mice as much as the princess, but talks about how she thinks she’s pretty and likes singing with the movie. My 4 year old daughter prefers other Disney movies like Lion King more… talking animals seem more her thing LOL.

- Lindsey Gruen on

Aurora is my daughter’s favorite. Simply put – she likes her pretty pink dress!

- Tammy on

Hello!!!
Gabriela (My almost 3 year old daughter) is obsessed with all things Princess & Pink!!
Gabriela loves Cinderella, which is her favorite Princess. We visit Disney World every year, as Gabriela loves to see “Cinderella’s Magic Castle!”
By giving her the new DVD, you would be providing her with hours of entertainment!!
Thanks!!

- Gabriela on

My daughter just LOVES the princesses. She’s 2 1/2, and we got her the book which seems to parallel the new movie. Every night she points up at the book on the bookcase and says, “Mommy pincess!” She seems to love Aurora best since she has a pretty pink dress.

I also love the Disney princesses, and would love another movie for her to obsess over. For the moment, it’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. A bit old for her yes, but we have it in our collection and a few months ago she brought me the DVD and asked me to play it for her. Since then it’s been “Hawy Pata” and “Dobby!” nonstop!

I’d love for her to have a “girly” movie to watch to show her that girls are tough, too!

- Has on

My daughter just turned 2 last weekend and we took her to disneyland in anaheim,ca. SHe is totally in love with the disney princess’s. Her favorite is Cinderella. We watch Cinderella at least 4 times a day at home. I think it’s her favorite because of her beautiful dress and fairy Godmother!

- Michele on

My daughter Lola is four and LOVES Disney Princesses! Her favorites are Jasmine (“She sings pretty!”) and Cinderella (“She has a beautiful dress!”). Lola loves Disney Princesses because she IS a princess! ;)

- Nicole on

I have a 3yr old daughter named Relm, and her favorite princess is Jasmine. She runs around the house saying ‘jasmine, princess jasmine’ most of the day lol. When I ask her how come she loves Jasmine so much, she looks at anything with Jasmine and says “pretty pretty Jasmine”.

She’s the only princess Relm will actually call by name…..the others are just ‘princess’ lol

- Missy on

My brother is older and has Downs Syndrome. His innocence is so refreshing and he constantly tells females (be they 16 and drop dead gorgeous or 70 and sagging) that they are beautiful and that he wants to marry them. He makes their day! He absolutely loves all the Disney Princesses (being the ladies man that he is), though he is partial to those with blonde hair a la Sleeping Beauty ;)

- Andrea on

My daughter Abigail LOVES LOVES LOVES Snow White. I think it’s great since she is one of the classic princesses. I even made her a Snow White costume one Halloween and every one made such a big deal it made her obsession even worse. I think she loves the singing the most and watches the movie all the time!!!

- ac on

my little princess alexis. my boyfriends daughter and hopefully one day my stepdaughter loves disney princess.. her favorite is Actually cindrella. she loves all the princesses though. she loves to get me to do her hair like cindrella and put her in her cindrella night gown and has so much fun pretending she is cindrella. she will always be my little princess. everything she has, has to do with princesses or tinkerbell. she has told me to plan her a princess birthday party this year..thats what we are doing.

- Kelly on

My daughter’s favorite princess is the Little Meraid as she calls Ariel. She loves playing that she is a mermaid. When she is swimming she twists her ankles around each other so that she can swim like Ariel with her mermaid tail. We also have 3000 baby dolls named Ariel in our toybox.

- Charity on

My 2 year old daughter, Shivani, loves Jasmine, so this is her favorite Disney Princess, she loves her because she thinks she looks like her. We are of East Indian heritage, and she wears her poofy pajamas and walks around looking for carpet, etc.

She has also been asking for a tiger like Rajah, that Jasmine has, but I tell her that her dog can be a subsitute.

- Shalini on

My niece is two and just started watching Disney movies. Her favorite is Cinderella. It’s so ironic this posting is up because yesterday I was putting on Lion King for the first time. I was fast forwarding through the previews when she saw a piece on Cinderella. She stood up on the couch and jumped up and down screaming, “yay Cinderella’s coming on!” When I informed her it was just a commercial for the movie she began to cry. She told me she just “has to watch it!” I told her that maybe Santa would buy it for her which only lead to another 15 min. of crying!

She would love to have this and so would I. It would be nice to sit down and watch something with her that I too watched as a child! But now we can enjoy them together!

Thanks CBB for all these great giveaways!

- J.M. on

My niece, Erin is into all the princesses. What little girl isn’t? She loves Aurora because Aurora wears a pink dress and according to the five year old fashionista in training, Pink is It. She would love this DVD series and perhaps Spongebob could have a rest in her house. Down with Yellow, Up with PINK!!

- Dallas Sims on

My daughter is 3 years old and everything is Cinderella. She thinks all the princess stuff is “beautiful” and loves all the stuff they have. I was mad at her one day for not letting me brush her long hair and I told her we are going to get it cut. She started crying and said “Well I guess I can’t be a princess anymore” I asked her why and she said “if you cut my hair I won’t be beautiful anymore and princess are beautiful” It was so cute but so sad at the same time. Gotta love a 3 year old.

- Christina on

I recently adopted a little girl and she loves Cinderella. It could be because she can relate to some of the family dynamics, and there is a fairy godmother who transports her to a place where it all just goes away. Whatever the reason, she really loves all of the Disney Princesses, particularly Cinderella.

- Marie on

My four year old daughter’s favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty. While I could look for some deep meaning in her choice, her reason is very simple – Sleeping Beauty’s dress is pink, my daughter’s favorite color.

- Kristin on

my little girl has all the princess in baby size she has only some vision in her left eye and she really likes them beacause you press a bow on the princess belly and a little shell on there chest lights up for a couple of seconds she really enjoys the light

- Mariela on

Charlotte (2 1/2) loves Ariel. She’s a princess right??! We dont have any other princess movies so this is her one and only favorite. But she wants to watch it daily and loves it when she sings best!! Thanks!

- Morgann C on

My 3-year-old daughter, Carsyn, loves Belle (her requested costume this year for Halloween). I honestly think the only reason Belle is her favorite is because the Belle dress-up shoes are her favorite to wear around the house. Yes, even at 3, this child has a shoe fetish!

- Nicki on

My daughter loves Pocahontas, I wish she was considered a Princess. She also love Snow White and was Snow White for Halloween last year.

- Colleen on

My daughter has Sensory Processing Disorder & a speech delay, she has seen a preview for this & i believe the song is “if you can dream” or something along those lines, anywho shes watched the preview a handful of times. & recently ive caught her trying very hard to sing along. theres a line that says wishing on a star. hearing her mumble out ” a starrrrr” as best as she could just melted my heart. She’s still just 2 and half so she may not completly be able to follow the story line, but i know she will love the songs, & will love working hard on her speech so she can sing along with the princesses!!

- Amy Hodge on

Wow, Andrea, I could have typed the same comment about my brother (who also has DS). That was neat to read.

My daughter hasn’t watched any Disney yet, but when she does, I’m hoping she’ll like Jasmine best. :)

- Jenna on

I have a six years old and a three year old daughter who love Jasmine. They think that her long dark hair is so beautiful and that she lives in a magical place where everyone is happy. My family would love to add the new Princess movie to our collection so we can watch it on our family night.

- jennie van dyke on

My daughter recieved her first princess paraphanelia on her first birthday, as a joke my Mother gave her everything Ariel because it was the one movie I had to watch over and over as a lil girl. Since then I have bought my daughter several Princess things, and her favorite is Ariel! I think it is sweet, she is always carrying an Ariel doll or book, and sometimes we will watch the Little Mermaid together.

- sarah on

Both my girls love Ariel, the little Mermaid.

- shannon on

Even though I have a boy, he loves the Disney princesses. He was very proud Cinderella gave him a kiss on the cheek at Disneyworld and he was showing the lipstick mark to everyone. His favorite princess is Snow White and I’m sure of it. I always tell him a bedtime story I made up, starring Prince Thomas (his name) rescuing a princess from an evil witch and he always tells me his princess is Snow White, because she looks like Mommy (it’s funny because Snow White was my nickname in high school LOL).

- Liesl on

My daughter first learned about the Disney Princesses because I got her Crocs with the Disney Princess Jibitz. It was soon obvious that Cinderella was her favorite princess. My daughter’s name is Sana and she calls Cinderella “Sana-ella”! It just cracks me up every time I hear her say Sana-ella because I guess she just thinks of herself as a princess too! Sana is only 20 months old but she already knows the name of Jasmine, Belle, Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty! I have a feeling we will be watching a lot of Sana-ella and the other Princesses in the future!

- Rabeea on

My daughter’s favorite Disney princess is Mulan. She sees the similarities since Mulan is asian also. She’s also partial to Cinderella, because she wears pretty dresses and Mulan doesn’t, but overall her favorite is Mulan.

- Alice on

My neice just LOVES LOVES LOVES Cinderella!! Although she has an affinity for all the princesses, Cidnerealla is still her favorite. She often role plays the movie (she just turned four) with her Grandpa as the Grand Duke, Her Grandma as the Evil Stepmother (LOL) and her baby Brother as Gus Gus! She has her little dress up costume, Glass Slippers, and does it quite often. I painted her a picture of Cinderella for her birthday- I have a picture of her receiving the picture and her face is just priceless!

- Dennis Sundquist on

My daughter is 4 and she loves all the princesses. But sleeping beauty is one of her all time favorites. She’ll try to sing along and dance to the movie. She’s very shy, but not when that movie comes on, lol. She loves it. Thank you.

- Tracy on

I have to say we love ALL the princesses in our house. But if we have to pick a favoirte of course it would be without a doubt the classic and all time lovely Cinderella.

- Natalie on

my daughter rebekah loves all the princesses! she seems to lean towards cinderella tho cuz she is blond like her. :)

- tami lewis on

my almost 3 year old daughter’s favorite princess is snow white. i think because it was the first princess dress her nana bought for her and she would wear the dress 24/7 if i let her. she hasn’t seen any of this disney movies yet – i think she is still a little young to sit through them.

- hannah on

My 4 year old daughter LOVES all of the Disney princesses but her favorite is Belle from Beauty and The Beast. I think Belle is her favorite because she has brown hair and eyes like Belle. She sees a little of herself in this beautiful princess and that makes her feel special and beautiful too.

- Cami Cox on

My daughter’s favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty. She dresses up like her and dances around the house. I think Sleeping Beauty is her favorite because her first princess book was a pop up book telling the story of Sleeping Beauty. She loves that book.

- Camilla on

It’s not so much Cinderella that’s my daughter’s favorite princess as her stepsisters. She is absolutely obsessed with the stepsisters and in all her pretend play she takes on the character of either Drisella or Anastasia and bosses Cinderella around.

- Brooke on

My 4-yr old has been a princess since the day she was born! She loves all the Disney princesses, but especially Aurora. Now that she is getting a little bigger she likes to dress her 2 year old sister up as a princess too! I’m not sure what drew her to liking them so much. I think she is just a true girl girl!

- Amanda on

My little girl isn’t here yet, but she will probably be in love with all the Disney princesses just like her cousin Bayleigh. My neice loves all the princesses so much that they have to be on everything she owns. She has the princess bike and helmet, clothes, toys, dolls, movies, and she’s had a princess themed birthday party and cake three years in a row.

- Megan Siler on

My step-daughter’s favorite Disney Princess is Cinderella. She was Cindrella for Halloween last year, and has since continued to wear the costume around the house throughout this year and we have to address her as “Princess Carter” when she walks down the stairs. It is quite funny. Her brothers also put on their old Halloween costumes, so seeing a Ninja, The Hulk and Cinderella walking around the house is hysterical.

- Denise on

My daughter’s favorite princess is Pocahontas. My daughter and I are always a little disappointed that Disney doesn’t pay more attention to their lovely Native American heroine because she is the one who sends the best message out to young girls: you must take a stand for what you believe in, even if no one else is on your side. While Pocahontas is her favorite, she does also love the other Disney princesses and never does a week go by that a Disney movie has not been in the DVD player.

- Megan on

My daughter loves the Disney princesses! We have all of the videos (which I don’t let her watch all the time, too much tv!) and we have Disney dress up costumes (they are sold at Macy’s or Kaybee toys, cardboard chest with costumes for Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell, & Snow White, includes “jewels, crowns, accessories $19.99 – 25.00) Anyways, she want to be the princess and she is into the make-believe world..she even tries to sing the songs from the videos….oh my! She dances around the house and has such a vivid imagination! She would love this video for her special princess video time!

- Nicole on

We love snow white at our house. She is 5, and going to be snow white for Halloween. She loves the “pretty dress” and of course the “wand” that came with the costume. It lights up.. she is just beside herself LOL. She is a singer and loves all the music, too.

- jend0225 on

My daughter just loves “Belle” and “Ariel”. She thinks that they are both beautiful and likes to hear them sing. Her room is Disney Princess and I’ve painted plaques, furniture, switch plates, storage boxes, jewellery cases among other things with her favourite princesses. She has an impressive collection of every imagineable Disney Princess item designed. We’ve had two Disney Princess parties thus far and she enjoys dressing-up and having tea parties. I must confess that I too have a soft spot for “Belle” and “Ariel”. I like that the Disney Princess theme can grow with her.

- N. M. on

My name is Gaby and my daughter Viviana loves all of them but at the moment it’s Jasmine, she’s is going to be her for Halloween. When people ask her her name she says Jasmine, I always have to correct her but she is 4 and has a vivid imagination and loves to play pretend and sing along with all the princess songs. Jasmine is very strong willed as is Vivi so i think thats what draws my daughter to her.

- gaby on

My daughters love all of them. My oldest is 5 and she loves Sleeping Beauty, and my 4 year old loves Cinderella. Every year for Halloween they are a different princess. Their backpacks are princesses, and their room is decorated with Disney Princess stuff. Even if I did not win this, I would still buy this.

- Susannah on

My Daughter Abbie just loves the disney Princesses. When she found our we were moving to Florida she got so excited because she thought we were moving into Cinderella’s Castle in Disney World. She always pretends to be Cinderella and tell me when she grows up she is going to marry her daddy because he is prince charming.

- Teresa on

My Becca is crazy for Princesses. I found her a Princess Quilt for her….that lists the princesses, and who’s who. Almost every night before bed she asks me who everyone is. “Snow White”, “Jasmine”, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), etc.

We also read Sleeping Beauty every night. EVERY night. She loves that book. I found her in her bedroom just today at naptime with the book open to where she fell asleep reading it. Somehow she has become obsessed with Sleeping Beauty.

One more quick Princess Story….she still uses her pacifier each night, we have told her that the Princess Fairy will be coming to get it soon and she is positive it will be Snow White and Jasmine. Even though she is obsessed with Sleeping Beauty, she thinks it will Be Snow White and Jasmine coming to take her pacifier away to bring it to a baby who needs it. That day is coming soon!

Have a great day!

JoAnn

- JoAnn on

My 6 year old niece, Mackenzie, likes Ariel. She’s bold and fiery and knows her own mind. She never starts out as a wishy washy princess taking orders from somebody else. She is breaking the rules from the very beginning! Much like Mackenzie herself.

- Carol Lee on

Cara, my daughter LOVEs all of the Disney she asked for it for her birthday, but won’t be able to get it, it would be awesome to be able to tell her she was going to get one on her birthday.
She says Cinderella is her favorite because, She’s beautiful, she’s nice to all the mice & horses, even to her step sister’s & step mother.

- Heather on

My daughter dipers have Sleeping beaty, Cinderrela and Snow White on them. While she is on her potty she points to each and says “This is mommy” pointing to Snow White; “This is teta (Auntie) pointing to Sleeping Beauty and the, while pointing to Cinderella, says this is Nika (Veronika is her name). So I guess the answer to the question is – Cinderella is her favourite :-)
