Update: It's a boy for Salomon Torres and wife
Update: Salomon was suppose to return to the Pirates yesterday but has asked for more time to be with his family, citing complications. Brian Graham, general manager for the team, stated
Salomon called and told me there were minor complications with thewife and the baby. There’sno confusion about this. It’s an agreement I made with (Torres).
Originally posted September 20: Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Salomon Torres, 35, welcomed his first son on Tuesday, September 18 when his wife, Belkis, gave birth. Son Jordan weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
This is the third child for the couple who have daughters, Ashley, 6, and Allison, 4.
