MLB player Jack Wilson and wife welcome third child

Pittsburgh Pirates player Jack Wilson, 29, and his wife, Julie, welcomed their third child, daughter Jersi Grace this morning. No further information is known.

In regards to Jersi’s unique name,  Jack reveals,

I got to pick the name because it was a girl. If it had been a boy, mywife would have picked the name. We have all J’s in our family, and weare Christians. I found Jersi in a book, and there’s a corny baseballconnection (to jersey), even though it is spelled in a different way. It’s not a household name. I like that.

The couple is also parents to Jacob, 5, and Jaidyn Faith, 2.

What does the name Jersi have to do with being Christian? I don’t remember that name in the Bible.

Ok, disregard my last post. I just realized he was referring to the baby’s middle name.

I assume that they chose names that start with J because so does the name ‘Jesus’. I guess this explains the Duggar family’s name choices.

Kinda cool. That’s my nickname. Not sure how I got it but it’s kinda unique.
