Latin actor Pablo Montero to undergo DNA testing

Latin singer/actor Pablo Montero, 38, will travel from his home in Mexico to Costa Rica to undergo a paternity test to determine if he fathered a child with a woman named Raquel Piedra. Raquel claimed the star of Duelo de Pasiones is the father of her son Daniel, but she doesn’t want Pablo in the child’s life because she doesn’t believe he would make a good father.

His excuses are always evasive. He speaks sweetly and would always tell me ‘I’m going to help you,’ but when the time came, it was always just words…When he found out he was going to be a father, he washed his hands of it; he didn’t do anything. He washed his hands of my child as soon as he was born, never came back to Costa Rica, because he knows if he comes in he won’t leave again.

I don’t think he has the necessary characteristics to be a father figure. I will always tell my son the truth.

Pablo is also currently expecting a son with his girlfriend, Argentinean actress and model Sandra Vidal.

Compounding Pablo’s problems is his recent drug bust; police arrested Pablo August 31 in South Beach, FL for speeding and possession of cocaine. He has a September 21 court date to answer to the felony charges.

I really don’t care if I offend any women but this is the honest truth, these women are just something for these entertaniers that are men to use and throw away. As a female I am aware that that is the way that a lot of men are and that women need to recognize some of these men’s behavior. Instead of depending on a man to support the child they should get off their butts and go to work. If she knows that he is the father then she needs to just go on with her life. I can understand if a man promises you something and he doesn’t go through with that those promises that you become angry. But that is how men are sometimes, even if you are angry once you go to court and have a judge look at your case you as the “positive parent” do not have the right to say if whether or not a man can be in a childs life.
