Update: Sarah Wayne Callies welcomes a daughter

Update: Sarah’s rep confirms to TV Guide that she welcomed a daughter named Keala in July. TV Guide‘s sources report that Sarah has chosen not to return from her maternity leave; however, her rep has not yet confirmed this.

Originally posted September 13th: Prison Break‘s Sarah Wayne Callies, 30, has apparently welcomed her first child, a baby girl, sometime in August. She and husband Josh Winterhalt have not confirmed the birth and have obviously not released a name or details.

It is still up in the air whether or not Sarah will return to Prison Break next season as Dr. Sara Tancredi.

The couple had announced the pregnancy in late January.

Congratulations to her! Is she really coming back to Prison Break? I was so upset when I read in TV Guide she wasn’t.

If I read right, she won’t be there for the first few episodes, but later on she will be, or vice versa. Either way, it was said she was still going to be featured this season. They have her maternity leave already planned, written into the storyline. Unless they changed their mind again…*shrugs* But, I hope she is still returning in some form. I’d miss her if she didn’t.

And I figured she’d had the baby already, and I understand her privacy. But I’m just glad to hear she and the baby are doing well and she had a girl. I’ve just gotten so used to everyone having more boys than girls.

That was the original information. Last week TV Guide was saying that she wouldn’t be coming back at all. I don’t think her publicist confirmed that though. I’m hoping that TV Guide’s wrong. Sarah’s one of my favorite things about Prison Break

Congrads to Sarah and her husband!

JustJared had the story the other day about TV Guide saying that Sarah wouldn’t be returning to the show then he posted an update saying that Fox studios issued a release saying that they have no confirmed Sarah’s release from the show however Dr. Sara Tancredi will play a significant role in the story this season. So either Sarah will be back or they are going to replace her with another actress, I hope it is the first option though!

I watched the S2 finale rerun of Prison Break on Monday night and they had upcoming scenes from S3 of Prison Break during commercials and Sarah Wayne Callis was all over them. I can’t imagine her NOT being in the new season.

I have read so many different article about this. One says that she had a son in August but most are saying that she had a girl named Amaya Rose on September 1st, like Andi said. However, some articles have even said Sarah and Josh haven’t announced the childs name or sex.

Aw, what a pretty name! Congrats to her and her hubby.

I don’t think the baby was early. She’d said the baby was due “late summer” and announced the pregnancy in late January, so July seems like it would be right on time. Not sure where the Sept. 1 delivery date came from. That’d have been way to late.

And just to clarify, in the TV Guide piece, SWC’s spokesperson confirms only the baby’s birth and name, not that she’s not coming back to PB. That’s Michael Ausiello’s “reliable sources”.

its a shame that sarah had left prison break, i was so gutted when they killed her off, i felt like crying, i thought her and wentworth played brilliant together, they both made it so real including dominic aswell, but i wish sarah all the best in life and congratulations with her daughter? i wish them all the best in life and other people will probably agree with me that we hope to see sarah back on the screens soon….
