Lauren Holly on sleep and conversations with her sons

74197773_cbbActress Lauren Holly, 43, loves being a mom to her three sons, Alexander, 6, George, 4, and Henry, 3, but knows she is running on very little sleep. That is one reason why the NCIS actress enjoyed her recent trip to New York City.  She states,

I got a really good night’s sleep last night, which I really needed. I don’t normally sleep a lot because I have three littleboys. I feel very good today because I just had the night when I was bymyself in a hotel and I had a great night’s sleep. I feel terrific.

One thing was for sure, when the actress went home she was going to enjoy talking to her children.

My favorite thing is having the conversation. Now that they’re all talking, Ijust love to hear what they have to say and their views on things. Iactually keep a book of all the funny things they say.

Dad is Lauren’s husband of six years, Francis Greco.

Do you keep a book or journal of things that your children have said or done?

This doesn’t have to be posted.

Thank you for not referring to her sons as adopted children. That is awesome.

im in Australia & I absolutely love NCIS. I cannot understand why the U.S. press doesn’t give these guys as much attention as other shows. R they private people or something? Lauren is cool, Michael Weatherly was down here earlier in the year and is also extremely lovely (!)and the rest of the cast seem so great & funny.

I think its also a really nice idea bout Lauren having a book of things her kids say. kinda hard to maintain tho-maybe she carries a voice recorder or something lol.

Yes, I do keep a journal of sorts. It’s a running word document where I just open it, date the entry, & quickly type out what happened & what was said. It has become absolutely invaluable!!

yes!! i absolutely keep track of what my boy says. he is 4 and our most recent memorable quote from him is “girl pee-pees are inside out!” my 18 month old girl is just starting to speak, finally… yesterday she called the cat by our dog’s name, it was her first real sentence: “where’s baby bear, sissy?” she said. i love it! i have pages and pages of conversations with my son, and funny or brilliant things he says (“the sun tells us when it’s morning, the moon tells us when it’s night, and a rainbow tells us when the carebears can come and play!”). it’s priceless to me! :)

I actually keep a journal for my son, I write in in every night, or right after I awake the next morning. I want to document what we do during the day, and all the new adorable things he is saying! When I run out of room in a book, I go buy another one and fill it up =)
