Newlyweds Jamie Theakston and Sophie Siegle expecting

UKTV presenter and DJ Jamie Theakston, 36, announced today that he and his new wife, Sophie Siegle, 34, are expecting their first child in April.

The news was revealed to Jamie’s listeners on Heart 106.2′s breakfast show this morning when he discussed the couple’s wedding this past weekend and stated,

I can tell you there was a very special guest there, but I can’t tellyou his name because he hasn’t got one. I can’t even tell you if it wasa boy or a girl because myself and my new bride won’t find out untilApril.

He closed his show by dedicating a song to Sophie and the baby.

This is for my new wife and my first child.

Jamie met Sophie, manager of the exclusive Soho House Member’s Club in London, at the Oscars two years ago.

“I can’t tell you his name because he hasn’t got one”

well if you don’t know yet, use an inclusive gender-friendly term, then!!! I cannot stand the “his” that people still use, in order to refer to a person. It could very well be “her name”, eh?
