Ken Ehrlic follows in Paris Hilton's footsteps — announces Christina Aguilera is pregnant

Christina Aguilera and her husband, Jordan Bratman, 30, have yet to announce her pregnancy publicly, but it appears that everyone else is doing it for her.  First, Paris Hilton at the LAX Nightclub and now Ken Ehrlic, executive producer for the Emmy Awards.

The 26-year-old songstress is scheduled to perform Steppin’ Out on Sunday’s broadcast and while discussing her number, Ken stated,

We’re sensitive to the pregnancy, but I can’t wait for her to sing.

I do not understand why she’s not announcing it. She’s very open to announcing her sexuality and has said very unnecessarily explicit things about that part of her life. It’s almost as if she’s ashamed to admit it.

I think this adds more credibility to the idea that the Paris “announcement” was unintentional. An Emmy producer wouldn’t make such a statement if it was at all clear that Christina was keeping her pregnancy a secret, a fact she could easily clarify while making arrangements for her performance. It seems to me more like she’s just choosing not to issue a statement herself, but also not going out of her way to keep others quiet, or even mentioning that it’s not public. Her mom’s comment, as well as this just point to her kind of living her life and letting it get mentioned if it gets mentioned.
