Kate Walsh refutes pregnancy rumors, plots joke
If you see photos of movie exec Alex Young kissing his new wife, Private Practice star Kate Walsh‘s stomach, know that they’re messing around and are not expecting — at least not yet. Kate and Alex tied the knot on Sept. 1 after a six-month courtship under speculation that the hasty nuptials took place because the 39-year-old was pregnant, but now the joke may be on everyone else.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a family, but we’re not obsessed with it. Initially everybody was like, ‘Are you having a quick wedding because she’s pregnant?’ I was like, ‘No, I’m just out of shape.’ [laughs] Any picture that gets taken now where Alex has his hands on my stomach turns into a story saying I’m pregnant!
Alex, 36, now believes they ought to follow the motto, "if you can’t beat them, join them."
I need to be more strategic. Would it be bad if I just kissed your stomach at one of these events? We could have a baby carriage we just wheel around…
