DownloadphpHealth Watch Systems, the company behind the OV-Watch, is giving way 2 OV-Watches with 3 sensors each (a 3 month supply), a $189 value.
I personally credit the OV-Watch for my getting pregnant 5 months ago. This FDA cleared fertility monitor is in the form of a watch that you wear while you sleep. You won’t even realize you’re wearing it! The watch detects the Chloride-ion levels in your skin and will tell you the four best fertile days BEFORE you ovulate to get pregnant. Which, I am convinced, is why I conceived the first cycle I wore this. We had been trying for over 6 months and also were trying out first dose of Clomid. I used another type of fertility monitor due to Doctor’s advice at the same time, but I found that the OV-Watch accurately predicted my fertile days, the other monitor only told me once I had ovulated. Click here to read my June review of the OV-Watch.

According to the company that makes the OV-Watch, Health Watch Systems, "The Chloride-ion surge is an earlier predictor of a woman’s fertility than LH or basal body temp. The CI surge comes 6 days before ovulation, where the LH surge comes just hours (12 -24 depending on what reference you are looking at) before ovulation and the temperature surge comes after ovulation when conception is not possible."
Jennifer Carter, spokesperson for OV-Watch says, "When you are trying to get pregnant, the 4 days BEFORE ovulation are clinically proven as your most fertile days and OV-Watch is the only device of its kind that can give you those 4 crucial days before ovulation. As compared to LH urine testing, OV-Watch doubles the rate of pregnancy."
Health Watch Systems, is giving way 2 OV-Watches with 3 sensors each (a 3 month supply – but this is not considered part of the 3 Free program), a $189 value. Answer the following question by going to: http://www.ovwatch.com/works_HowOVWorks.asp

Did you know that intercourse on the day of
ovulation only gives you a 5% chance of getting
pregnant? However, intercourse on the 4 days

  – fill in the blank in your comment post.
If you want to try to win one of two OV-Watches, add a comment under this posting with your email and the company’s url (www.ovwatch.com) as the url and put your answer in the body of the post.

I think a watch like this is a great idea. It looks like it should be far easier to read and use than those horrible Ovulation Predictor kits we’ve tried in the past. “the four days before ovulation hold a cumulative 80% chance of conceiving.”

Wow, that was encouraging info to me, since we have been trying for a second child waaay too long. Been seeing an RE to help us, but there is no money left (after paying for all the tests and consults) to actually DO something. This would be a godsend.

LH test kits are so tricky – I would much prefer to use this predictor, and have those extra days to plan and be more spontaneous. This process has become a disappointing science project.

Thanks for this drawing! (fingers crossed)

I’m not advising anyone with fertility complications, but otherwise, I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It teaches how to recognize your own fertile phases. The information can also also be applied to spacing or avoiding pregnancy by recognizing infertile phases. I didn’t even get through the whole book and I conceived the month that I learned how to recognize what my cervical fluid would look like before I ovulated. I then used the information to avoid pregancy again until my chosen time. It also was wonderfull to gain awarness of my own body.

I know it is a small chance, but hoping to win this. My husband after many tests and finding out nothing is wrong,…have been trying for almost 2 years for our first child without any luck. Being a Military Spouse at almost 27 without a child, I find it hard to hang out with other Military Spouses, because all they talk about is their children, babies, or pregnancy (ies). Which hits hard when you’re trying and have dissapointments month after month. We long so much for a child in our lives. Hopefully this will help. Since we really cannot afford to buy one.

It really sounds like it has helped a lot of women conceive. I have tried the Lh test kits and I never can get a positive out of them although my temp does rise the day after I have ovulated. I know some people say to have intercourse on the day of ovulation, but to have intercourse 4 days before ovulation is better because you have an 80 % chance. That is pretty high of a chance to get pregnant. I would love to be on a success story and prove this item really works if I win it. Well I hope we win. God bless everybody!

Did you know that intercourse on the day of
ovulation only gives you a 5% chance of getting
pregnant? However, intercourse on the 4 days
before ovulation hold an over 80% chance of
conception.

ANSWER: 80% – WOW!

I have PCOS, don’t ovulate that I know of, and my husband has fertility problems. We’ve been trying to conceive since June 2006 with no luck. If this could help me determine if I’m ovulating at all I’ll consider myself a success story.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this works!
