Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia and his wife, Ashley, are currently expecting their second daughter. It is being reported that the Texas Rangers want the 22-year-old to play winter ball but his wife is experiencing complications with the pregnancy. The baby is due by the end of the year.
The couple, who were married July 12, 2005, are parents to daughter Sidney, 8 months.

when jarrod got married, it was kind of a ‘scandal’ down here in west palm because he married a teacher from his high school [though she wasn't his teacher]

jarrod played through the braves farm system and for atlanta until he was traded to the rangers july 31. while it’s true that his wife was a teacher at his high school and is at least 10 years his senior (he’s 22), they’ve always presented their family and their relationship in a very respectable fashion. best luck to them!

I believe I read that Ashely is 36 or 37… Don’t hold me to it but I believe that’s her age. Their daughter is adorable
