Actors Hugh Jackman, 38, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 46, were spotted climbing trees and playground equipment with their children Oscar Maximilian, 7 — who was clutching a John Steinbeck novel — and Ava Eliot, 2, at Bronte Park after havingbreakfast at Swell Restaurant in Sydney. I love how down-to-earth this family seems. This is the first picture I’ve seen of Hugh’s wife, and I think she looks lovely—commenters on other sites are being really rude about her. Yay Hugh and Pierce Brosnan and other hollywood men who don’t feel the need to have a 20 year old starving starlet attached to their arm.

ITS GREAT TO SEE THAT THEIR KIDS ARE NORMAL. SEEING THEM CLIMB TREES IT LOOKS LIKE SUCH FUN. HOWEVER I AM THE TYPE OF MOM WHO IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TREE SAYING BE CAREFUL, WATCH OUT ECT. SHE LOOKS MORE AT EASE THAN I AM.

I love that Oscar’s carrying a daggy classic novel. Even if he’s not the one who’ll be reading it at the park, it’s nice to see kids exposed to classic literature.
I read a while ago Hugh talking about the type of schooling that Oscar has – some sort of focus on positivity and ‘we’re all human beings’ type education in NY… I’m wondering if he’s getting that here. Does anyone know if he’s being homeschooled/tutored while they’re in Australia?

Whenever Hugh has a minute off from work he and Deb get the kids and go outside to play and appreciate nature and their family. They are the BEST celebrity parents I have ever seen. I am a huge fan of both of them.
You kids (Oscar & Ava) are very lucky indeed!

I agree, I love seeing hollywood men married to the type of wife/mother I would see at the grocery store. She’s still beautiful though, I’m not saying she’s not, but I very much agree.
