Maddox looks so young to me in these pitures/in his school uniform — younger than 6 or than he looks to me in his regular clothes. Very cute though.

I LOVE how she looks like a ‘normal’ mom here! little/no makeup and not perfect hair! I love her! hehe.. she is like the golden child as far as I am concerned… beautiful girl and beautiful family! TEAM JOLIE! hehe =]

Angie does love her black, doesn’t she? She seems to mostly stick to black, white/beige, and gray. I loved that red sweater she wore a few weeks back in Chicago…it looked gorgeous on her!

He’s adorable in his little uniform. And I love that coy look on his face in the second photo. :)

Besides shiloh, maddox is the cutest jolie pitt child IMO. He was an adorable baby, and still cute.

She has said that she wears black because shes a slob and it hides coffee stains!

I think it’s time that the photos draw the line…this family is out in public often enough that maddox and his classmates need a zone of privacy at school…I saw some longshots of this and the mass of photographers was ridiculous…angelina and brad allow plenty of photos as long as the photogs give them a little space so they should be granted some leeway at school…these are six year olds for goodness sake…swarms of press must create a security and public safety nightmare for the school…

i can not beleive maddox is in school already! the time has gone sooo fast! i love his shoes!!

I am confused… Is Maddox in school in NYC permanently or for the time being? I thought they were settling in New Orleans? I guess when you are Brangelina, private schools will let you come and go as you choose.

Angie seems to love those types of shoes she wears- the cream color ones she has makes it look like her feet melt right into them. What kind of shoes are they?

- Corky on

Hasn’t he changed schools a lot poor kid. That must be rought and unfair to him. Maybe I am wrong.

- Brandy on

Corky, the Lycée Francais has branches in NYC and in New Orleans so Maddox can attend either school and still keep up with all his class work. He will have a lot to keep up with because the Lycée is a very demanding school academically. He will get an excellent education.

Jenny, Brad’s working on a movie in NYC right now so they’ll probably be there awhile, long enough to have Maddox enrolled in school. They’ve already said they’re not settling anywhere permanently right now, although New Orleans is their home base. The nomadic lifestyle seems to suit them.

just a little questions, some websites said Maddox enters in pre-school but he’s 6, he should be 1st grade ? any clue ?

- cassopolis on

Where has the time gone? I remember the day they announced his adoption!

- Sarah on

Judy- You actually answered Jenny’s question. My question was about Angies shoes. What are the skin toned shoes Angie wears?

Maddox looks so cute in his little mohawk and uniform; a funny little combination, compared to his usual “punk rock” manner of dress. Although I’m rather surprised to see him in a uniform. Angelina doesn’t strike me as the type of mother to send her children to a school with uniforms.

- Nausicaa on

Whoops, sorry. About the shoes — why not do a search on Zappos.com for cream-colored ballet flats? They have everything.

- Judy on

I totally agree with school uniforms. Keeps the kids less focused on who’s wearing what, and more focused on education.

Adorable. All of her children are so cute, great family.
p.s. I don’t think it’s kind to say which kids in a family are the cutest, I would hate if someone said one of my kids is cuter/prettier than the other.

Maddox has been attending school for nearly 18 months. He has been to at least 6 different schools and he has only just turned 6. I think it is wrong.

I think while it is good to give kids a good education in the world by travelling round it, it’s better for the child to be settled at school, where he/she can develop their social skills

- SJ on

He looks very proud of himself, and quite like any other little boy on the first day of school. And his mom is the same. He doesn’t look worse for the wear of the traveling. He looks great!!!!

Does everybody see the white building behind Angie in the 2nd picture? I live in it. I had no idea she was there but I will keep my eyes peeled next week. The Lycee is directly across the street from me. The funny thing is I must have missed her on my way to work but I have noticed more commotion in the neighborhood than usual.
Secondly I taught at the Lycee ages ago – I am 1/2 French. The Lycee is an international school system with branches in most major cities so children of mostly diplomats and international families who work all over the world can keep their children in one curriculum. Very normal for a small pocket of people. Since Angie is 1/2 French I’m sure she wants her kids to be multi-lingual.

- Nancy on

Nancy that was very interesting. Preesi, that makes soooo much sense, I hadn’t heard that. Also, I am a HUGE fan of the school uniform(did research on it). Mad looks rather serious to me in these photos, he looks like a little man in his uniform. He is just so cute.

- Campbell on

SJ- As Judy mentioned, the Lycee has branches in both NY and New Orleans (which is the Jolie-Pitts’ home base), so he can get the same curriculum in both places. I am sure that Angie and Brad are giving him what they think is the best type of schooling.

- Annoyomus on

I agree Lola – especially when all 4 children are equally gorgeous!
