Amanda Peet is totally in love with her daughter

09/07/2007 at 08:00 AM ET

Amanda Peet, 35, is so in love with her five-month-old daughter, Frances Pen, that she doesn’t know what to do.

I’m so happy, I can’t bear it. I’m so in love with her.

But don’t get the actress wrong, it was hard in the beginning with her little bundle of joy.

In the beginning it’s hard…because they aren’t giving you anything back and you think you’re supposed to be really happy, but, in fact, you’re actually psychotic because of sleep deprivation. But now it’s beautiful. It’s like I’m in love with someone else.

The family has had to work out a routine for the increasingly active Frances and it turns out the little girl loves fruits and vegetables.

We wake up and play, she naps and I do my own thing like check e-mail, we have lunch, then she naps again. She’s obsessed with avocados. I mash them up and feed them to her. I mash everything up like peaches, mango, peas and carrots.

And while the couple loves the name Frances, if Amanda’s husband, David Benioff, has his way, their little girl will go by the nickname Frankie.

My husband loved the name, and, when I was younger, I loved the book The Member of the Wedding. That character was kind of sad, but she’s a super cool tomboy.

I think Frankie is super cute! It makes more sense now, while i also think Frances is a lovely name I always thought it was a little concervative for Amanda Peete, a daughter named Frankie suits her to a ‘T’!

Do not post this. There’s a typo:
Amanda Peet, 35, is so in love with her five-month-old daughter, Frances Pen, that she doesn’t know want to do.

Should be “…what to do.”

ummm isn’t the baby kinda young to be eating so many different things??? IDK I didn’t even start cereal till 6 months.

Sarah’s note: Frances is 6 months, there was an error in Angela’s post which I corrected.

Franki is my nickname and I think that’s simply the cutest nickname for a little girl.
