Jenny McCarthy and son out in Beverly Hills

Jenny McCarthy, 34, went on a shopping trip with son Evan Joseph, 5, in Beverly Hills on Sept. 1. The actress’ new book, Louder Than Words: A Mother’s Journey in Healing Autism ($16.29), about Evan’s battle with the disorder, hits stores Sept. 17.

Wow, she looks like Jim Carey with a blond wig on in this pic.

Wow! Her son is quite tall! And Jenny is looking particularly thin these days…

Uh-oh, another Croc sighting.

he looks like he wants to slug his mama. pretty bad picture to put up.

Sarah’s note: He’s just looking at her questioningly, IMO. In the others he’s looking away or not paying attention. I thought this was the best pic of the set.

Ha ha MarciJoy, you might be right there!

Anyway, for all of her “indigo children” and crystal beliefs (that do seem a bit out there imho), at least Jenny admits that her son has Autism and is trying to do something about it…unlike a certain celebrity Scientologist family who mostly hide their teenage son from the public but claim he doesn’t have autism or anything.

OMG, MarciJoy you are soooo right! I think Jenny looks great. Little Evan is just too cute, looking up a mommy like that!

That is so true! I think she looks like Jim Carey here too.

I love her dress– any idea what is is? Maybe Splendid? I’d pair it with sassy flats though…

What on earth is Evan wearing? Looks like pajamas!

It looks like he is wearing light capri pants and just a tank. Its been excessivly hot in Los Angeles over the past few weeks. He is a very cute little boy.

I love her dress too! Although I would want it in a solid color, i wont go near horizontal stripes! eek!

Wow — he’s a beautiful little boy. I think his outfit is really cute in a casual, summer-heat kind of way :p Very relaxed looking!

Hello ;o)
I just finished reading Louder Than Words and it was amazing. I am a Learning Specialist in Eugene, Oregon. I work with middle school aged students who have learning disabilities, students with ADD/ADHD, student who have ED, and students who have Autism. I have so many things I want to talk to Jenny about…wish that was possible.
I want to wish Jenny and Evan a wonderful life. If she or anyone else has any questions about working with or teaching expectional students, please feel free. It is my life passion!!!
