John Travolta and Kelly Preston discuss parenthood

09/04/2007 at 10:25 AM ET

OK! Magazine caught up with duo of Kelly Preston, 44, and her husband, John Travolta, 53, at the premiere of her movie Death Sentence recently.  Even though the pair were without son Jett, 15, and daughter Ella, 7, they couldn’t help talking about being parents. John said,

It’s tough to be a parent anywhere. I think there’s some advantages that Hollywood people have for encouraging privacy and home-schooling. We get to control our environment a little better even though it looks like being famous you’re less controlled. We actually in some ways get to control it better.

Kelly loves being a mom and it showed when she talked about her kids.  She said,

Just the closeness and the fun and the joy they give you on an every-moment basis. It’s just so wondrous. There’s so many clichés, but it’s really seeing things through their eyes, or the hilarious ways they’ll perceive something. Their take on it is so completely astute. Kids say the wildest things. Well, they really do, and they nail it all the time.

Here we have a set of parents who completely neglect their son’s Autism. This is a main reason i will not watch or buy anything they have acted in. It is very desturbing that they do not get Jett the help he so clearly needs!

Is it just me, or does anyone else not want to hear another word about these two as parents?

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
