Introducing Hayden William Phillips

09/04/2007 at 10:55 AM ET

Australian TV show Temptation host Ed Phillips, 41, and his partner, weather presenter Jaynie Seal, 34, who welcomed their first child on August 2nd, introduce their son in this week’s issue of Woman’s Day. Hayden William Phillips was delivered by a c-section because his head wouldn’t engage, weighing in at 7 lbs with "huge feet." Jaynie comments,

He’s got Ed’s eyebrows and nose and, apparently, he’s got my lips and chin.

Ed is okay with it — with one stipulation.

Just as long as he inherits my neatness gene.

Hayden brought joy to the family who was devastated by the death of Jaynie’s sister Marty who was disabled and eventually died due to a tragic car crash,

I think Hayden is an amazing reward for my parents, Del and Warren, who devoted their lives to Marty for so long.

That sounds weird ‘who eventually died’ like they were waiting for her to die.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
