Without a Trace writes Poppy Montgomery's pregnancy into show

Without A Trace star Poppy Montgomery, 32, and her actor boyfriend Adam Kaufman are expecting a son in late December – and now her on-screen alter ego is pregnant as well. Poppy portrays FBI agent Sam Spade on the series, and says the pregnancy will provide some interesting story lines this fall.

Every time she goes to work, she’s potentially at risk for being killed. It’s a hard decision to make.

However, Poppy will not reveal who the possible father of Sam’s baby is — boss Jack Malone? Agent Martin Fitzgerald? Someone else altogether? Poppy wants to say, but can’t.

I have to bite my tongue because I’m busting totell everybody. There are a number of people in the mix. Ithink it’ll be quite surprising.

How exciting! I watch this show so I can’t wait to find out who the father is, b/c Sam hasn’t been dating anyone recently.

I am so excited for this! Although it does have me slightly worried as a fan since CBS has been bombing on the relationship pairings lately IMO (ie…Sara/Grissom…icky) LOL anywhoo…I can’t wait to see how she progresses. Poppy is so naturally beautiful, I’m sure the glow will just add to it.

each to their own Jackie, I love Sara and Grissom together, lol! If they do this well it could be a really interesting story line. :)

Awww, I hope it’s Martin, I really liked them together! I also think Danny would be great with kids, but she can’t possibly go from Jack to Martin to Danny.

i just love her but when does the new season start?

- M on

Bad decision. Sam is not supposed to have a baby . At least I can’t see her with a baby

- Hanna on

Omg I cant wait for the new season, I hope its Jacks baby, I’ve been seeing chemistary between them recently.

Oh, please. Because “Who is my baby’s daddy?!” is *so* classy. Why do they have to ruin strong, successful women characters by turning them into whores?

- Joely on

This discussion is turning a little nasty, isn’t it? Joely, if female characters on TV shows have babies without being married or having steady boyfriends, that makes them whores? Maybe she (the character of Sam) DOES know who the father of her baby is. It isn’t being said that she doesn’t.
Many women in the real world have babies without being married or having boyfriends and they would surely not like being referred to as whores. Please think for a second before posting hurtful comments like this.

Sarah’s note: Yikes, I guess one of the other staff members posted that one. That’s not a comment I would have allowed without some editing. Sorry about that.

What about the new guy Detective Mars.
Is this payback for Parker on Buffy

I have to agree with Jackie, sara and grissom is icky and so is the idea of Jack and Sam. Two dirty old men with these young women. Must we have to look at these Trump style relationships twenty-four seven.
