The Australian Prime Minister John Howard and his wife Janette are proud first time grandparents after the early arrival of their grandson, Angus Benjamin Howard McDonald. Born to the Howard’s eldest child, daughter Melanie, and her husband fellow lawyer Rowan McDonald. Angus was born at 6 pm on Saturday, in Sydney, weighing in at 3.3 kgs. The Prime Minister’s Office released the details, saying,
The name Howard is one of his middle names, in honour of his grandparents … Mother and baby are both doing well.
Speaking on behalf of the proud new dad: "We are both very happy and very excited." Melanie’s due date wasn’t until next month.
