Ethan Hawke enjoys time off with kids

Working on film projects may take actors away from their families for months at a time. But the bright side is they can also be off for months at a time, says Ethan Hawke, 36, who has two kids, Maya Ray, 9, and Levon Roan, 5 1/2, with ex Uma Thurman.

It’s hard, but I think it’s harder for dads who put their kids to bed at night and then see them for a couple hours on a Saturday. I sometimes go for months unemployed, which is nice.
