Update: Mary McCormack welcomes second daughter

Update: While on Howard Stern yesterday, Mary revealed that her daughter’s name is Rose. She also discussed choosing to have elective c-sections with both her daughters to ‘preserve‘ her vagina and to avoid the ‘bullshit‘ vaginal birth can cause, such as incontinence. She feels that women no longer need to give birth vaginally and can avoid possible problems by having elective c-sections. Mary also mentioned that she ‘barely felt anything‘ that was happening that day.

Today, Howard discussed the ‘outraged’ women who had emailed and called the show after hearing Mary’s comments.

Originally posted May 18th: The West Wing‘s Mary McCormack and her husband, Brothers and Sisters producer Michael Morris, welcomed their second daughter on Tuesday. As of Thursday, the latest McCormack-Morris production remained nameless. She joins big sister Margaret, 2 1/2.

oh, i loved her on the west wing! i wonder if they’ll keep with the all “m” thing. hard to stop now! and there are lots of great girls names to pick from… madeleine’s a classic but maude and maeve are two of my favorite names! congrats to them!
