Larry Birkhead keeps Anna Nicole's memory alive for his daughter

Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead, 11 months, is growing up to know her mother, model Anna Nicole Smith, who passed away in February at the age of 39. Dannielynn’s father, photographer Larry Birkhead, 34, is working hard at keeping Anna’s memory alive for his daughter.

Larry’s sister, Judy Birkhead, told Us that Larry’s main focus is making sure Dannielynn knows her mother.

Larry says that it’s important Dannielynn knows about her mom. He’s always telling Dannielynn how much he loved Anna and how great she was.

Judy explained that Larry has put photos of Anna up in the home he shares with Dannielynn in Los Angeles, and he often shows them off to Dannielynn.

He’ll point at pictures and show Dannielynn videos of her too.

According to a source, there is also a keepsake box full of items and letters Anna left for Dannielynn, that Larry will give her when she is older.  Longtime friend, Jane Rose-Zupetz, added,

When Anna was pregnant, she painted a lot for Dannielynn. Larry will give her those, also.

Larry is said to be busy right now planning Dannielynn’s first birthday, which is coming up on September 7.

Of the milestone, Jane said,

It’s a celebration for Dannielynn, but it’s also a celebration for what Larry had to go through to hold his daughter.

Now that he has his precious daughter it is easy for us to forget what that man went thru just to SEE her for the first time, let alone what he had to endure WITH THE WORLD WATCHING to gain custody of HIS proven child. Unbelievable!! This is a strong and couragous man…. Dannilynn is a blessed child indeed… they deserve a great ‘ole BIG BLOWOUT!!! He was prevented from witnessing her birth, he deserves to be able to throw this bash for his girl!!

I think its awesome that in a world where pain, unhappiness, and bad decissions are exploited, this man who went through so much to gain access to his daughter (some of which was directly because of the bad decissions made by Anna) still teaches his little girl about the “Anna” he loved. The Anna that the public didn’t know. It’s important that Dannilynn knows that her mommy wasn’t only the person the public saw, but the loving woman Larry fell in love with as well. Hopefully all of the good things she hears from her daddy will out weigh all of the bad things she bound to hear in the future.

I have purchased a motorcycle that belonged to Anna Nicole prior to her passing. Thought Mr. Birkhead would have a interest in it since he is trying to keep Anna’s memory alive. Could you help me contact him. Thinking this could be a photo op of Dannielynn and Mr. Birkhead with him getting the motorcycle. Thanks, Mike
