Alexander Pete Schreiber, 3 1/2 weeks, dozes in his car seat on Sunday as parents Liev Schreiber, 39, and Naomi Watts, 38, make a stop at the post office and then eat at Taverna Tony’s. Later, Naomi carried him out to the car.

He’s so cute.

I used to put receiving blanket next to my son’s head like that too when he was just new.

Seriously cute! Makes me want another baby so badly!!!!

Autumn on

Now that’s a creative use for cloth diapers, and probably cheaper than a temporary head bolster.

Cute baby indeed! 🙂

karrie on

He is cute. 🙂

I hope they tighten his harness straps.

Aww cute cute cute!

He’s so adorable! Newborns aren’t usually the prettiest creatures on the block, but this one sure is cute.

Tannit on

What a cutie, but yes, I really hope they don’t drive around with the straps so loose.

Lauren on

I agree Ada-for a newborn, Alexander is very cute with an adorable little nose. I think I see Naomi in him!

But tighten up the straps…

What a cute little boy!!

Like others have said I really hope they tighten those straps when in the car. Its not safe to be so loose. And Im happy to see them using the diapers rolled up to support his head instead of an after market infant head support insert.

terri on

I’m sure the straps were loosened to let him sleep comfortably.

Mimi on

What’s the big deal with the rolled up diapers vs. buying a head support? I used both, and don’t see anything wrong with either.

I’m sure the straps are loose to let him sleep comfortably, and make taking him out at the restaurant easier.

I agree, the straps were probably loosened for him to sleep better! Geez!!! He is a beautiful baby!!! Naomi must be over the moon!!!

This might sound funny, but their baby looks a TON like my 5-week-old baby in this picture! When I saw the picture I couldn’t stop staring! It is a very cute baby, indeed. How exciting for them.

Cool–another Karrie. Hiya!

Just to clarify, I’m not trying to be rude. I mentioned the loose straps because the majority of car seats are used incorrectly. (I definitely made mistakes when my son was younger, including loose straps and after market head supports. Yikes!)

If one of the gazillion parents reading took note and tightened their own child’s straps, then it was worth mentioning, right?

He really is a beautiful baby. 🙂

This little toot is the absolute image of his dad….at least in this picture.

according to tmz, liev and naomi had an altercation with the paps over photographing alexander. they’ve made their feelings clear, and i hope cbb will honor them.

Oh my goodness! I just had to do a double take when I looked at this picture. That little baby looks EXACTLY like my son did when he was first born. I mean, identical. I called my hubby in here and his jaw dropped..I pulled out one of my son’s baby pics and compared them, and it is so strange. Kinda cool too, though. So, of course, I am going to say that this is the most beautiful celeb baby I have seen..;0)

His little outfit is just too cute! I love his little chubby cheeks. 🙂

Aww, he is such a cute little teddy bear. I think he looks a lot like Liev, but I guess most babies look like their daddies at first. Mine did, and now he looks like me, so Alexander could end up looking like Naomi yet. Either way, he’ll be gorgeous.

They do not need to purchase an after market head support OR use the diapers… An Orbit Stroller comes with an infant head support and it is amazing (velcro on the sides to pop in and out). I am surprised they are not using it since I have used mine with the stroller since Day 1!

I have an Orbit and I have also used the head support in my Baby Jogger for brisk walks.

Maybe they forgot the infant support at home or something and needed to use the cloth diapers in a pinch… Just a thought.

As for the straps, they could have the carseat on the stroller and loosened the straps for baby’s comfort. I have done that with my daughter.
