Nick Cannon confident in Nicole Richie's mothering potential

Now that Nicole Richie, 25, has confirmed her rumored pregnancy, actor/comedian Nick Cannon, 26, couldn’t help but talk about the exciting news surrounding his friend’s impending venture into parenthood.  Nick says he thinks Nicole will excel at motherhood, thanks to her upbringing by her celebrity-dad, singer Lionel Richie, and his former wife, Brenda Harvey.

She had good parenting, so she’ll know how to get it going.

The Drumline star also seems confident in Nicole’s boyfriend, rocker Joel Madden‘s, ability to embrace his new role as a first time dad, saying,

He’ll be a cool dad. The coolest dad. Any rock ‘n’ roll dad is a cool dad.

What the heck is Nick Cannon talking about? Lionel and Brenda Richie were terrible parents in my opinion.
