Anne Heche talks about her summer spent with Homer

Actress Anne Heche, 38, sat down with Entertainment Tonight recently to talk about how she spent her three-month-long hiatus from her show Men in Trees, and how her 5-year-old son Homer, is already curious about paparazzi.

I just hung out for the summer with Homer and [my boyfriend] James.

But Anne said it was nice to return to the quiet of Vancouver (where Men in Trees is filmed), as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

There’s not a lot of paparazzi. It’s nice — you drive in your driveway and there are no cameras. Homer, my son, thinks it’s kind of funny too because we always have paparazzi meeting us in the airport when we are flying up here. Then he gets off the plane up here and there is no paparazzi in the airport and he’s like, ‘Mom, where are the cameras?’

Anne’s boyfriend James Tupper, 42, made a brief comment during the interview, telling ET what a great parent Anne is, saying,

Anne’s so great with him, she’s a wonderful mother.

Of her life right now, Anne says she is happy.

It’s weird how life takes you on different journeys. I’ve lived a lot of lives actually. This one I’d like to stay in for a while.

Anne is currently in a custody battle with her estranged husband Coley Lafoon, 33.
