Tiger Woods shares win with wife and daughter

Tiger Woods won his 13th major on Sunday, August 12, but having his family their meant more to him. Wife, Elin, and two-month-old daughter, Sam Alexis, surprised Tiger by showing up for the tournament in the middle of the week. The 31-year-old stated,

I wasn’t really payingattention when I saw them. I was so excited and just wantedto give Elin and Sam a kiss and get back to signing my scorecard.

Tiger no longer has his father, who passed away, or his mother, who only attends the Masters, at the golf course, so having his wife and child there means the world to him. 

It’s a feeling I’ve never hadbefore. Having Sam there and having Elin there, it feels alot more special. And it used to be my mom and dad. And now Elin, andnow we have our own daughter. So it’s evolved, and this one feels somuch more special than the other majors.

I saw Sam Alexis on TV yesterday! She’s adorable, with chubby cheeks, and she was wearing red, just like her dad! Elin looks great, and not like she’s rushing to lose the baby weight, which is good.

My Husband said whenTiger won yesterday his mother, Elin and Sam all came out to see him and were on T.V. I can’t find a picture of it anywhere and wish I had seen it…my DH said the baby was very cute.

I missed the live footage and the end of the round was cut so I never got to see Elin and Sam. Would have loved to have seen them and it seems no photographers managed to capture the moment, they must be kicking themselves with missing the first time Sam was around when papa Tiger won.

OMG I was watching the golf and then they showed Elin and Sam Alexis and OMG she is absolutely gorgeous…she was dressed in red just like her daddy and she was just absolutely beautiful–I was wondering if anyone would have gotten hold of a picture…man alive she was just too cute! And I love the way Tiger talks about her–almost as if he still can’t believe he’s a dad…he’s so excited and feels so lucky…Elin looked great-I just adore this family! Tiger is so in love with his wife and daughter!

Thank you Jack SO much, that was all I needed. I just heard so much about that moment it bugged me not seeing it.

In one way I am really happy that the press did not get pictures as it will make Elin and Tiger feel more comfortable at letting Sam be at the events.

If the press had hounded Elin or used the flash too much around Sam I would say it would put them off bring Sam.

Lovely moment, you can really see how much Sam has grown and from the split second shot her skin is a beautiful colour.
