Nicole Richie, 25, and Joel Madden, 28, were spotted in Soho after having lunch at The Kitchen at the Mercer Hotel earlier today. (Reality TV fans may recognize the girls behind them as well!)
Nicole and Joel expect their first child in January, they are going to ‘try’ not to find out the sex.

Awwwww!!! They look SERIOUSLY happy! I think Joel is going to be a doting daddy, he’s always so happy and protective of Nicole and the little one. She looks awesome by the way, glad to see her willingly gaining the weight for the baby’s sakes and putting whatever issues she had before aside. She’s already making the sacrifices necessary for the baby so I’d say she’s well on her way to great parenthood. Can’t wait to meet the little doll.

LOL that is funny to see Lauren and Whitney in the background (another closet Hills fan). I’m glad to see that Joel is a positive influence on Nicole as well as standing by her through thick and thin. Granted she’s having his child, it’s great to see a man such as Joel being seen in such a positive light amoung all the stuff that is or was going on with young Hollywood celebs. Nicole looks happy and healthy. Joel was the best thing that has happened to her. What a great guy!
