It's a girl for Eric Hinske and wife

Boston Red Sox first baseman Eric Hinske and his wife, Kathryn, welcomed their first child, daughter Ava, on Tuesday, August 7 after a 12 hour labor. She weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces.

Both mother and daughter are doing well after what is being called a complicated pregnancy.
