Olympian Sarah Schleper expecting first child

Sarah Schleper, a three-time Olympian and four-time United States slalom champion, will skip the 2008 World Cup Season as she prepares to become a mother in late January or early February.

I’m really looking forward to having mybaby. I think it’ll be kind of inspiring for otherwomen, showing that they can be athletes and a mother, too.

The 28-year-old and her fiance, Sederico Gaxiola, are planning to marry but not before the year 2009.
