Cuba Gooding Jr. haunted by Elmo

Cuba Gooding Jr. will never look at Elmo the same way again. Afterrepeated viewings with his sons, Spencer and Mason, now 12 and 10,respectively, the 39-year-old actor reveals on Late Night with Conan O’Brien that the beloved furry red monster started to terrorize him in hissleep.

When my kids were young, they loved Elmo. Elmo was like the biggestthing. [in Elmo's voice] ‘This is Elmo’s dream.’ I used to hear that inmy dreams. ‘I’ll say it again and again and again. This is Elmo’sdream.’ I’d have dreams I’m walking down the street and I’d get beaten.[in demonic voice, pounds fist] ‘This is Elmo’s dream.’ I’m serious.I’d wake up in a sweat, butt naked, yelling, ‘Elmo, no! Elmo, no!’ Itwas a prison movie with Elmo.

Cuba and his wife Sara also have a daughter, Piper Adelaide, 22 months.
