Chris Rock issues statement on false paternity claim

Through DNA testing it was concluded last week that Chris Rock is not the father of a 13-year-old Georgia boy, as claimed by the child’s mother, Kali Bowyer.  The comedian and actor together with his wife Malaak issued a statement today lambasting the would-be baby mama — who later backed off the paternity claim, saying that she has never been ’100%’ certain that Chris was the father of her son. 

Though we prefer to keep our private life out of the media, we feel that it is necessary to respond to the many grossly inaccurate media reports that were sold to the tabloids by Kali Bowyer … After multiple lies, including that Chris refused to establish paternity and after finding out that Ms. Bowyer has an extensive criminal record, we personally asked the court to help us establish paternity so that we could put this harassment to rest.

The couple noted that they have spent "a tremendous" amount of money in defending the paternity claim, and have requested that any money earned by Bowyer from the sale of her story to the tabloid media be donated to various charities "for the benefit of disadvantaged boys and girls."

We also express our deepest prayers for the welfare of Ms. Bowyer’s son who has been continuously embarrassed and exposed in the media by his mother.  We are happy that this has come to an end.

Chris and Malaak have two daughters:  5-year-old Lola Simone and 3-year-old Zahra Savannah.  The couple have been married since 1996.

I truly don’t understand why women try to do this, don’t they know dna tests excist? They are just hurting their child.

The same thing happened a couple of years ago with a TV presenter here in NL and he was also proven to not be the father but in the mean time the little boy had been in every gossip mag.

Chris and his wife must be delighted that the news came out in their favor & I am happy for them.

I’m just venting my opinion here so if anyone gets offend, it’s just my opinion. It’s not really directed to Chris Rock persay just in general. This is my point when it comes to celebrities. I realize once you hit it big, (women or men pending on the celeb’s gender of course)you have people throwing themselves at/on you and basically giving you whatever the celeb desires. I realize not everyone practices safe sex, but c’mon. Does anyone ever think about getting to know someone before you begin sleeping with them I mean you really don’t know what the person’s intentions are, especially if you’re a celeb..you’re a walking target. Or what if a child is conceived? Yeah yeah I realize they don’t think about that during the act of. People should really start thinking about the consequences before they decide to drop trou..just sayin’ Okay i’m off my soapbox..Thanks!

Please see the attached email from Chris Rocks lawyer (the one who I had been beating down his door), but gee I thought he said I never talked to them, I guess they forgot that I kept all the emails, all the phone records, along with written correspondence documentation over the past years. Chris is the one who is full of shit. We are having a second test done (that was agreed upon in court, perhaps he forgot that also), and still have to go to mediation.(did not get the memo in regards to the protective order?) guess he left that out of his statement. Maybe if someone has career in slandering white people he should not sleep with them at the same time! Just a thought. Maybe the washed up comic who’s last movie sucked, should be tested for Alzheimer’s disease, he sure forgets a lot these days. No I do not have an extensive criminal record! I hardly call a first offenses DUI an hardened criminal, or a misdemeanor for that matter! I have a question to Chris are you still abusing those prescriptions? You did not ask the courts for help you dumb ass, I did and when told I could not request a DNA test because of where you lived, and the biggest bad ass paternity lawyer was coming after you, that is when you filed here. Get it straight. I got the copies of that to! Oh, not to mention the phone records that show every phone call to your sorry ass lawyer in CA. Feel sorry for my son, no bitch feel sorry for your dysfunctional marriage. FYI, keep in your pants you would not have problems if ya’ did! I think Chris and his wife present the archetypal example of how a celebrity, or anyone really, should react to such allegations. Rather than going nuts or denying a test, or denying the child before the test, it seems he and his wife remained calm, and unlike the child’s very own mother, actually kept the young man’s welfare in mind throughout the ordeal.

The bit about donating any tabloid money to charity is a good one. Though, I doubt the accusing woman would.
