aweeee…so cute. goodness, that baby is freaking cute!!! funny, that they use those regular plastic playtex bottles. i would think that they would use glass bottles, where chemicals wouldn’t leech out into the milk. if i was a gazillionaire like katie holmes, i would be only going the healthy and organic way for my child.

- bkgurl on

Suri is a cutie for sure.

As to the bottles, you do what works for you. I, personally, used plastic bottles for my children. They were easier for them to hold and less chance of breaking if they drop them.

You really would have to live in a bubble to avoid all the toxins in the world today.

- Mom2Sam on

I’m Suprised a 15 month old is even on a bottle! Right before 12 months those things should be gone- for the teeths sake if nothing else. Suri is adorable though!

- corky on

Love the little shoes on those chubby legs!

- Xan on

She’s a beautiful baby and looks just like Katie. I don’t see Tom in her at all!!! I used playtex nursers as well, they’re great, especially when you’re on the road and don’t have a place to wash bottles. As far as her age and drinking a bottle is concerned, to each his own. Everyone has his/her own beliefs about that and I feel that if the baby is happy, let her be. It’s not like she’s taking the bottle to school with her. She’ll have enough problems with what the public thinks of her family, so let the little sweetheart have her happiness.

- Cookie on

My god the picture where Suri is asleep is soooo cute.. This little girl is just too adorable for words..

- estherpanda on

A bubble indeed! I don’t care whether she uses a bottle….it is really their call. I am trying to get my 6 mo to move to a cup but that’s me. While I am not a fan of Cruise and Holmes, their daughter is adorable!! I love the way they dress her.

- m on

She’s adorable! I love the mom/daughter matching haircuts! She looks just like her mommy, fortunately, she looks nothing like her daddy. Playtex nursers are great for traveling. They’re clean, easy to use, and have less gas bubbles for the baby. I think it’s a smart move. Every mom does what is best for her own child, so if Katie feels that a bottle makes Suri happy, I think she’s doing the right thing. My son drank a bottle until he was two and has beautiful teeth. I made sure he didn’t take it to sleep with him and he brushed often. She seems to be a wonderful mom, I just hope that Tom realizes that and appreciates what a loving mom she is.

- Lin on

Yes-Suri, she’s adorable!! I want to hug her and smooch her and ruffle her hair. Her hairstyle reminds me of the children’s book character Madeline.

- Nausicaa on

I love how they dress Suri, she’s so beautiful! and the picture where she’s sleeping is too cute!
I’m not fan of Katie, but I think she is a wonderful mom, you can see it in the way she looks at her baby, always full of love and happiness.

- sil on

Estherpanda I was going to say the same thing! That pic of her asleep is just ridiculous adorable. I’m not crazy about her father but that litte girl is living doll. She’s one gorgeous child and she and her mommy are identical. Can you imagine how much more beautiful she’ll get as she grows?

About the bottle, I’m sure they know what they’re doing. The beauty of procreating is having the choice and the freedom to raise your child the way you see fit, not anyone else. Children do things at different times and paces, Suri is no exception.

- Grayson's Girl on

My son drank from a bottle until he was nearly 2 because he refused milk in any other cup. Now, he gets calcium from the loads of cheese and yogurt that he eats, but he prefers water over milk, and will drink very little. His teeth, height and weight are good.
Perhaps they too are having trouble weaning Suri from the bottle and giving in a bit affords her the nutrition, vitamins and hydration that she needs.

- Sarah on

A celeb toddler on her own two feet! Bonus shot! Hate it when they carry them everywhere.

- Susan on

suri’s def cute! blast the ppl who wrote she looked like an alien, etc. ><

anyhow i think she def looks like katie but the nose is def tom’s! :)

- r9lee on

She is beautiful, and looks just like Katie IMO. As for the bottle I see nothing wrong with it, she is 15 months not like she is 3yrs old.

- gianna on

She is just too cute for words.

Don’t any of you watch the show LOST? The Ethan character (Actor’s name is William Mathoper)is Tom’s cousin and Suri looks JUST like him.
Even so, she’s a doll

- CC on

nothing wrong with a 15 month old having a bottle!! mine weaned around 18-24 months and both have teeth that are fine! I would rather complain about kids who are 3 and 4 yrs old using pacifiers!!!

Suri is absolutely adorable!!!

- tink1217 on

Suri is beautiful. Leave her alone about the bottle- she’ll give it up when she’s ready. It would be better if Kate were BF’ing her, of course, but…whatever…her choice. Anyway, mom and baby are both gorgeous!

- Erika on

Suri very much resembles Tom’s side of the family. Look up his cousin William Mapother at IMDb.com for photos and compare them side-by-side — that’s exactly where her eyes come from.

- Brava97 on

I have 2 friends with 18 month old babies. One breast feeds, but uses a bottle out and about b/c toddler nursing often gets negative comments and stares and she’s not comfortable nursing in public anymore. The other friend didn’t nurse, and her baby eats mainly solid foods now, but she also uses a bottle when traveling b/c it can be hard to find food that the baby will eat and the bottle ensures that she’s getting something. Both babies ONLY get bottles when they are out–and for good reasons. I’m not a big fan of this family, but I hate the rush to judgment I see so often in the comments here.

- wavybrains on

Katie has been photographed so often with Suri lately that it really seems like she is being a full-time mom. You never even see her with a Scientology nanny in the background or anything. I think that’s cool.

I wonder how Suri handles the flights back and forth to Europe she’s always talking. I don’t even want to attempt taking my 16 month old to Hawaii because of the dreaded flight.

- ladymama on

I love how they are always carrying their baby. I am yet to see a pic where the nanny (if they have one) is the one holding the child. It seems it’s always Katie or Tom themselves.

And I would be interested to see a poll to see really how may people really get their kids off the bottle by 12 months old.

Sarah’s note: Good idea. I’ll add one.

- happy on

Suri resembles Tom in these pics : def. his nose and eyes .

- elisa on

happy, I would like to see that too! I think its an outdated idea…my grandma said I was off the bottle by 12 months and so were my mom and uncle. She also said I was potty trained by the time I was 15-18 months old too. Another outdated idea! My daughter was off the bottle by 18 months and my son by 2 yrs. BUT, if they had wanted it a bit longer, oh well! I think by 3 its definitely a must though.

- tink1217 on

Suri is so beautiful, and Katie seems like such a loving mother. Suri does look a lot like Katie, but I see some Tom in there too. I think she has his eyes and upper lip.

- OLBA on

FYI, getting off the bottle by the age of 1 is hardly an outdated idea. The American Academy of Pediatrics strongly advises children to be off the bottle around the age of 1, as failure to do so can cause serious oral damage. Still, Suri is only 15 months, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much yet. When she’s two or three and still clutching to the bottle a la quite a few celeb kids, that’ll be a different story. At least she doesn’t have a pacifier being shoved in her mouth!
And I agree that the photo of her sleeping is especially adorable.

- Lauren on

Suri is so freakin cute I want to have one that looks just like her!

I love the one where she’s sleeping. I also am not a fan of mommy and daddy but baby Suri makes up for that!

I was off a bottle by 6 months! Yep, my mom said I refused it and once she gave me a cup there was no going back! My brother though was on a bottle and pacifier until almost three! I was also potty trained by my 2nd birthday and my brother was 2 1/2. I’ve gathered that I was the intelligent child and that study of first children being smarter just went out the window in our family LOL!!!!

Anyways, Suri is still a baby. But I think by 18 months the bottle should be gone. Sometimes people want to keep their kids “babies” forever by giving them bottles, pacifiers, or nurse them for a long time. I know that’s not the case all around but I’ve met mom’s who said they don’t want to rush the bottles bc that means their kids aren’t babies anymore! I just think sometimes that’s a bit daunting when people don’t allow their kids to just grow up and learn to be independent little kids instead of relying on these comforts. But Suri is still young and has time. JMO.

- J.M. on

My twins were on the bottle until sometime around 2…. I don’t remember exactly. They loved it and I just couldn’t be bothered to take it away. I finally did under pressure from my mother and mother-in-law. They seemed to have a real problem with it so one day, I put the bottles away and when the kids asked, I said “Daddy broke them all”. They didn’t seem to care.

It didn’t affect them adversely being on the bottle so long. They both have amazing teeth and have never had a cavity.

- TwinMom on

She seems attached to the bottle and looks very strong minded. May be Katie is finding it hard to wean her off it. I also noticed that she is never in a stroller which is nice. She is so cute but looks like pure trouble. The picture where she is sleeping is adorable. Defintely my fave baby

- Rhona on

My twins were off the bottle by 13 months.

- Megan on

My son was never really on the bottle – he had a few of them over the first couple of months, but after he started nursing less often( around 5 months), I was able to leave home for longer without having to leave a bottle for him. I breastfed him for a year and when we went to milk, he absolutely refused to take a bottle. He only would drink out of a cup.

Incidentally, he never really took to a paci either and gave it up when he started teething (also around 5 months). I think some kids just need to calm themselves through sucking more than others.

I’m not a fan of the Cruises, but Suri is a doll. She looks just like Katie. Hopefully, Katie will get her some baby versions of her incredible sunglass collection. As many of you know, I don’t really like the too-mature-for-her-age clothes she wears, but I just LOVE Kate’s many trendy glasses! How cute would Suri look wearing Katie’s oversized lenses?

- PSB on

My daughter is a month younger than Suri and looks like her twin sister. The only difference is Lucia’s curls :) sooo cute

- jenny on

My daughter was off the bottle by 10 months. She weaned herself. For a few days I was offering her a cup, but she didn’t want it so I didn’t push it. Then one day she just refused the bottle. I put her milk into a cup and never looked back.

- s on

WHAT A PRECIOUS PHOTO!

That picture of Suri seeping is simply the cutest photo I have ever seen – she’s just adorable! Thanks CBB for posting it!

Both my kids gave up their bottle around 18 months old – and even then it was perhaps once or twice a day. Suri still little, and she travels alot, maybe it’s her comfort zone.

I also agree with tink1217 about the whole pacifier thing – seeing a 2 or 3 year old with a pacifier seems just wrong.

- mamabear on

In regards to the bottle issue, has it occurred to anyone that when taking a baby on a plane that it might be easier on their ears? For a celebrity who travels so much either for work, or in Katie’s case, to be close to her husband while he works, having a way to release air pressure in their baby’s ears is a concern. So what if Suri is 15 months and still using a bottle. So what if Cruz Beckham is 2 years old and still using one. Until you start traveling by plane as much as these kids and their parents do, you cannot pass judgment on them!

- finnaryn on

OMG!!! Suri is too cute, like everyone else I LOVE the picture of her sleeping, my daughter sleeps like that on me when we are out pass nap time!!

I know so many people are saying things with the bottle, me personally, I liked having my children off by the time they were 1, but who am I to criticize a celeb, or anyone for that fact!! I gave my daughter her last bottle on her first birthday, then washed and sanitized them and gave them to goodwill.

- sarah on

Leave that little girl alone. There should be no set rule as to when a child is “DONE” being bottle fed or breast fed. It should be up the the mother, child, and perhaps doctor. not readers.

- MaryAlice Quigley on

MaryAliceQuigly, I absolutely agree.

So what if Suri still has a bottle? She is 15 months old – she is a baby!
There is always something people have to criticize when it comes to Suri – she has bangs/she has a bottle/she is being carried/she isn’t photographed enough/she is photographed too much/her mom’s clothes don’t look nice enough/her daddy is a fake/blahblahblah (see previous posts)
not to mention all the horrible things that have been said in the past about them.

I wish people would finally see sense and lay off this beautiful, happy, healthy, adorable baby girl – bottle, bangs and all.

And btw, I love seeing Suri being carried around so much.

- pink.lioness on

I agree withj MaryAlice, it’s the job of the parents, child, and doctor as to whether the child should still be bottle fed. Personally, I feel that there’s nothing wrong with giving a child her age a bottle. All of my children were bottle fed until they were two and have perfectly straight, white teeth. I think the child’s emotional health is more important than the looks a parent gets when a child has a bottle or pacifier. Who are we to judge others?

- Lin on

(Or… you could… breastfeed!)

My son didn’t have ANY form of milk in a bottle after twelve and a half months. My MIL is a dental hygenist and I wouldn’t have heard the end of it.

- Jenna on

Suri is so cute! I adore the classic styles Katie chooses for her :)

- kristen on

My daughter easily stopped the bottle at 12 months. She loves sippy cups with straws. Now she is 15 months and still loves to nurse whenever she can. Now that will be a tough one (or two :-) to get her off of!

As far as Suri goes with the bottle, to each his own. If she still has it when she starts school, then that may be a problem! :-)

- DWS on

Great pictures as usual.I love looking at these pictures. They are a beautiful, loving family.Suri is the most beautiful baby in hollywood1

- peachy on

The bottle could be her “security blanket”. Heavens knows she has a abnormal life compared to non celeb babies. I don’t see anything wrong with her having it. She seems to have an independent streak in her.

Suri does look and act older then just 15 months, maybe closer to 18-20 months.
And she really does look like toms cousin.

- noc on

please tell me where suris dress is from!

- l mag on

Katie seems so much more mature now.

- j.brown on

playtex drop-ins are pretty safe…they dont contain BPA as do avent, dr. brown, and playtex ventaire, so im sure she is not getting any chemicals.
