I haven’t read the croc site but I fully understand that the shoes are supposed to be “loose” in that you are supposed to have plenty of wiggle room for your feet to be comfortable but what the salesperson I spoke who has read the info on the shoes meant when he said “snug” is that with the strap on the ankle a child as young as this or my godson should not have shoes that ‘flop’ on their feet.

He said they recommend for children no more than a fourth inch of toe room and heel room and I think it’s pretty obvious little Henry has more room than that just from looking at that second photo.

As far as the above comment about elevators, in my opinion any shoe could be caught on an elevator. I’ve heard many more stories about shoestrings being caught. I personally think a croc would be easier to get off then many other shoes so I wouldn’t worry much about that.

Crocs are not supposed to be a snug fit. Whoever told you that had no clue to what they were talking about. It is stated right on the Crocs website that they are supposed to fit loosely.

My children’s school lets the kids use them for gym because of the natural bend and flex they allow the foot to have. They do have to be the actual Crocs brand. I love them. They never stink and are easy to clean. My youngest who will be 2 in a couple of days has been wearing them all summer. He loves them! We have no trouble with him walking and running in them. We have all sorts of other shoes for him mostly Stride Rite and these are the prefered. We have never had or heard of the escalator problem mentioned above. My kids drag their feet getting off and on without any problems.

I realize they aren’t exactly attractive looking but it is summer! Let kids be kids!

I think it’s the faux crocs that aren’t breathable. I know several people who’ve had pairs similiar and thought they were quite hot and sweaty and then bought the actual ones and loved them.

Other than that, I think they look adorable on older kids or if they actually fit… now in these photos, either Henry has hugely long toes, which I highly doubt, or those are about a size too big. You can see a clear gap between his heel and the back of the shoe in the photo of him walking that shouldn’t be there. I was told a few weeks back when I was going to buy my 3 year old godson a pair that they are meant to fit ‘snug’ and shouldn’t “flop” on a young child’s foot as that’s not good for them. We didn’t end up getting a pair because he was between sizes so we’ll wait til next summer.

I will have to agree that they aren’t meant for a child this age.

But I do think they’re adorable, AND comfy for older kids/adults.

He does look like a cherub, Popi, especially with the curly hair and chubby cheeks. But he’s gotten so big since I last saw him, and this is the first time I’ve seen him walking alongside his mom.

Maya – they *are* breathable and comfortable; it’s part of the reason why nurses wear them since they’ve got to be on their feet all day.

Seems like we have not seen this little guy in a long time – he has grown sooo much! What a darling little boy and Rachel is such a beauty as always.

I wasn’t excpecting him to still be so fair-haired. I would have thought it’d darken like mum’s.

This is the first time i see him so close. Gorgeous little boy and his mom looks so natural. Love this pair
