Christina Aguilera cancels two shows; Mom appears to confirm pregnancy
Citing a ‘bad flu virus,’ pop star Christina Aguilera has been forced to cancel her two remaining Melbourne, Australia concerts. In a statement to would-be concert-goers, Christina said she was "truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all." A concert promoter adds,
Christina has a viral upper respiratory tract infection with a high fever and abnormal coughing…[she has been] prescribed complete bed rest for the next few days.
Meanwhile Christina’s mom Shelly, while emailing with a concerned fan, provided confirmation of what CBB has reported since mid-June — That Christina is, indeed, pregnant. After thanking the fan "for being so caring," Shelly said "let everyone know she & baby are just fine."
The baby is believed to be due in early Jan. 2008, and is the first for Christina and husband Jordan Bratman.
