Dave and August Matthews spotted slinging in Seattle

A friend at The Babywearer recently spotted singer-songwriter Dave Matthews, 40, and his 5-week-old son August Oliver in Seattle. She shares,

I’m at my favorite local consignment shop today trying to shop while I wrangle my 2-year-old daughter away from the front door. Someone had come in and I was just checking to make sure they shut the baby gate so that my daughter wouldn’t run into the street.

Well, I look up as I pass the person and it’s Dave Matthews, wearing his new little baby in what looked like a black Kangaroo Korner Adjustable Fleece Pouch. The fit was really good too. He had the perfect pouch hold! I must admit he looked kinda hot!Anyway, I didn’t say anything. I figure celebrities are entitled to their normal lives out and about, but now I’m wishing I had at least complimented him on his awesome slinging.

Love him! He sounds like such a hands-on dad. And love that he hangs at the local consignment shop. Just more proof that he and his wife are down-to-earth.

The woman who ran into him should have said something about the sling – I’ve heard Dave is very nice and personable if you meet him when he’s out and about. I’ve only met him & his wife after a show, but they were super-nice then, too.
