Spencer Grammer inspired by dad Kelsey

Greek star Spencer Grammermajored in theater at Marymount Manhattan College, but no acting classwas as valuable as the Frasier tapings she went to as a child. Watchingdad Kelsey and the cast work inspired the 23-year-old to put herzoologist dreams aside and pursue acting full-time.

When I was 16, I used to go almost every week to watch him tape Frasier. I would watch and learn. They’reexperiences I take for granted, but they really did influence my lifeand all the information that I now know [about acting] subconsciously.To be around that energy, love of your work and your life, it’s reallywonderful and I always wanted to be around that too.

Spencer’s mom is dancer Doreen Alderman.
