Chris O'Donnell on raising a big family

As one of seven children, Chris O’Donnell had always imaginedhimself having a big family. The Company star and his wife Caroline arenow parents to four kids, Lily Ann, 7, Christopher Eugene Jr. (a.k.a.Chip), 6, Charles McHugh (a.k.a. Charlie), 4, and Finley, 16 months. While it can get pretty crazy around the house, Chris says he’sgrown accustomed to it.

I try not to get too rattled about things that aren’t thatimportant—there’s a different outburst for when the kids are reachingfor a knife in the kitchen versus the reaction I have when they justwon’t stop talking. And my wife and I have mellowed out as we’ve gonealong. With the first baby, when she cried, we’d think, ‘Oh my God, whatdo we do now?’ But with Finley, our fourth—he’s the easiest baby ever,and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that we’re much morerelaxed these days.

Truly a beautiful and unique family by Hollywood standards! People in the know say they are just as grounded as they appear in the press – no false image with them. How great for these kids to grow up in this secure and loving family. It doesn’t get any better than that.
