Victoria Beckham: Boys make beds, put clothes in basket

In an interview with the Today show, Victoria Beckham speaks to Matt Lauer about her and David Beckham‘s move to America, and clears up some misconceptions about herself — as well as showing Today the paparazzi that follow her!

She spoke about how she raises her boys, saying,

I do have some help. I don’t have her full-time, but I do have some help…We do like to do a lot of things ourselves, you know, the kids make their own beds. They pick their washing up, put it in the washing basket, if not, it won’t get done. I think it’s important that children don’t get too spoiled.

I love her so much, she seems like such a kind, caring woman, not to mention a great mom and a great wife. I don’t get where all these stories come from that she and David have some sort of agreement to stay married?? I was just reading a magazine where people were saying how they have to put on an image because they’re fake. Seems like people can’t just be happy for them. Anyways, I love her and her family, in one word ADORABLE!

the problem with Victoria is that in most of her pictures she looks arrogant. She may not even be, but is the way many see her.

I always knew what the deal was with this woman.Who wouldn’t make those faces if you constantly got paps on your tail everytime you walk out the door.All I can say is for them to stay strong and keep being the happy family they seem to be.I don’t think them living in LA will make the paps ease up on them,lol.Thats wishful thinking,lol.

Mary…I agree with you on she always looks arrogant, but— why is that “the problem”? Because one looks arrogant, it means we’re allowed to judge them because it’s how they “look”?

I like The Beckhams, I think they are such a cute little family. I can only imagine how it must be with the pap’s all over them all the time- it’s ridiculous.

I don’t think she comes across arrogant at all. She may looked peeved at the paps for taking pictures of her ALL the time, but that doesn’t mean she’s arrogant. She does have that “fierce” look about her when she’s posing for pictures, but I think that’s just who she is. Even when the Spice Girls were just coming out, she never really smiled for the cameras. Again, I think that’s just her.

I think the Beckhams are a wonderful example of staying together, staying in love, and having a family, all the while being in the public eye. They look fantastic, and I hope they feel the same way.

I have to admit with some of the stories I read on some of the other blogs about her, my opinion was dropping. Then I watched a clip from her reality show, and listened to the interview with Ryan Seacrest posted earlier, and I love her. She is much more of a girly girl than myself or any of my friends, but she has a great personality.

She even said she can’t figure out why she can’t smile when her picture is taken, she always sounds giggly and happy when talking. It is probably the millions of flash bulbs. I am guilty of loving to see the photos of the celebrities, I just wish it were a little easier on them.

Hum, are you following my posts. I am not judgmental at all. If I were I would no be posting in her thread. I admire the education she seems to give to her kids, for exemple.. And I have wrote plenty of posts here where I say good things, maybe didnt catch yout attention. And when I wrote in this thread, to me was like pointing that she could be even appealing in her image if not because of this arrogant look. Not to bash her.

If you are talking about my Gwen Steffani posts.. Yes, I dont like that woman and I have personal reasons to totally believe her husband is wrong in the relationship with his daughter, .. but is pretty much all I wrote of a more judgmental opinion.

Mary, fashion is her passion, so you can’t fault her for that. If I had her money, I would be looking exactly like her. She’s got a great sense of style and what works for her. I personally think it’s a lame reason not to like her.

I guess you probably wouldn’t like me either because I have been told that when I’m out and feeling uncomfortable in my surroundings, that I look like a completely arrogant and prissy. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I am a really friendly, outgoing and happy person, I just don’t like being in those situations, and although I do try my best, I can come across as cold, uninterested and arrogant.

Give her a break.

I know she indicated to Matt Lauer that she has “help” albeit not full-time. I think a few years back it was well-known that their kids never had anyone else watch them aside from their grandparents.

I loved that because that is how we are as well. Never had sitters, day care, and certainly not a nanny. Grandparents ONLY. I was surprised but delighted to hear this about a celeb couple. I love them for lots of reasons though!

When Victoria was in the Spice Girls she never smiled either, she always pouted. It was part of her “Posh Spice” persona. I think her pout has nothing to do with her real personality and everything to do with her branding as a celebrity. She is ALWAYS photographed with the same expression, and usually in the same pose. Anyone who is familiar with the history of this couple will know Victoria really struggled to find her own path after the Spice Girls split as she isn’t much of a singer and her solo efforts bombed. Ever since she was a young girl she has wanted to be a big star, so she reinvented herself as a fashion diva, lost a lot of weight, got fake breasts, upped her fake tan and completely revamped herself. It all seems to be for the sake of celebrity, to keep her in the papers. Personally, I think despite all the spit and polish on the outside, Victoria and David are down-to-earth and pretty “normal” on the inside.

Love the Ant & Dec interview of hers. That was so cute and hilarious, especially when the boys asked about David’s “golden balls” and about babies. And her Matt Lauer one, though I did catch some on TV, was just as nice.

I do think she’s a nice person. My only problem is that I want her husband and children, haha.

I think you will find that Posh suffers from a little bit of delusion. For years she said she didn’t have a nanny and her kids were looked after by the grandparents, until the nanny tried to sell her story, before being gagged by the Beckhams. It’s the same about her denying a boob job, until she finally had to admit it in a court case. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘no full time help’ is another stretch of her imagination. She probably has an army of helpers working in shifts around the clock but none of them on a full-time basis.

Why is anyone supposed to disclose they had ANY plastic surgery? Its supposed to be a discreet thing! I hate when people admit to it… The only time a person should admit it is when its a tummy tuck after pregnancy (cause to deny it is promoting unrealistic ideals for women) and excess skin removal after bariatric surgery.
Everything else is someones own d**n business!

Oh and if you promote a weightloss product you shouldnt have surgery at all (thats decietful) and if you are caught at the clinic you should come clean…

She had to disclose it because of a court case.

I don’t see arrogant or cute … I see dull and desperate. The poor thing only eats steamed vegetables and grilled fish a few times a week – the rest of the time she just drinks tea (because of her husband’s affairs – she’s so insecure and petrified he’ll leave her). The next time she eats a sandwich she’ll be the centre of the new ‘is she pregnant’ speculations.

She’s appealing for the first few years – but unfortunately everyone outside the US has had to put up with her media antics for too many years and now we’re all sick of her. Please take her away, America. Make her disappear from our sight. Isn’t America meant to be huge? Surely you’re big enough to handle her (she’s not that huge ).
