Ali Landry welcomes a daughter

Model/actress Ali Landry, 33, and her husband, director Alejandro Gomez Monteverde, welcomed a daughter earlier today. Estela Ines was born just after 9:30 am and weighed in at 8 lbs, 2 oz. Her rep says,

Mom and baby are doing great. Ali and Alejandro are ecstatically happy, and Estela couldn’t ask for more wonderful, loving parents.

I actually like the Spanish spelling of the name myself. Great to hear she and the baby are doing great! Hope to see baby Estela soon!

She spells it with one l because if there were two ll’s, it would be pronounced like the letter y in “yes”, i.e. Es-tay-ya instead of Es-tay-la. She had quite a large baby for being so small-looking a few weeks ago.
