Where is their son?

Cute! I love Kelly’s dress.
I feel like they hide Jet though and/or favor Ella.
- Jo on
seriously…why is it that they seem to pretend that jet doesn’t exist? it seems a tad unfair that he is never included in public family affairs, i hope that they are not ashamed of his condition.
- alisha on
It is really sad that they are so ashamed of their son that he is never included in public events, I hope they do not ignore him at home as well.
- monay on
Where’s Jett? I swear, they continue to pretend that poor boy doesn’t exist…And that he’s not autistic…
- Nicole on
Maybe he doesn’t do well with public affairs. Maybe he hates them and asks to stay home. Maybe the cameras and the red carpet and press are just to much for him. Why jump to the absolute worst theory – that they are ashamed of him, or they pretend he doesn’t exist? Why not assume that whatever the reason, it is in his best interest?

“Why jump to the absolute worst theory – that they are ashamed of him, or they pretend he doesn’t exist? Why not assume that whatever the reason, it is in his best interest?”
Because even though everyone close to them-neighbors, reporters who have met the family, even family members-have confirmed that Jett is autistic, not only do John and Kelly refuse to acknowledge his disorder, they (specifically John) refuse to talk about and/or show him in public. John goes on and on about Ella every chance he gets, yet Jett is always conspicuously absent from the conversation. There are at least three or four recent articles posted on CBB where John talks all about Ella and either mentions Jett as an afterthought or not at all. Add to all of this the fact that his and Kelly’s religion, Scientology, doesn’t acknowledge autism or the therapeutic help many autistic kids use to thrive, and if it walks like a duck…

I think ella is a beautiful little girl

If their son is autistic public affairs are not for him. I am a Psych Major and have been a nanny for an autistic child and am taking an autism class now and they are not very social people. Social settings making them nervous and can take their routine life (many of them have a hard time when their routine is out of wack) into a dizzy. I personally don’t care for them because they neglect their sons issue but they are doing what is best by not taking him to a premeir where there is cameras and lots of people which can be overwhelming for a person with autism.
- Bren on
Actually, my son is autistic and LOVES social settings…being with people.
I understand for many kids on the spectrum that’s not the case, but not all kids with ASD disalike social scenes.
It bothers me the fact that they seem to do nothing with Jett. In all the mags I read, they only ever have their beautiful, perfect little girl with them in the photo’s.
You see Jenny McCarthy and Holly Robinson-Peete doing things with their sons all the time.

Kelly looks like an Austin Powers fembot with that hair and outfit. Their daughter is really cute. It’s a pity they never bring their son anywhere.

Hey look, it’s the Favoured Child…gotta admit, she is cute though.

Great post, Lauren! I, too, recall an interview posted on CBB in which the interviewer asked John something about Jett, and he answered briefly and then quickly changed the subject to Ella again and went on and on.
I’m still not even sure as to why they brought Ella to this premier in the first place. Most celebrities only take their children to kids movies, I thought…

I think Ella is a gorgeous young girl. And while she still looks like her dad’s female clone, in the last photo she sort of takes after her mom, at least when she smiles in the last one, she does.
- FC on
As much as I like this family, I’m sure there are reasons their son isn’t included in events and/or pictures.
The girls look great, but I’m not fond of John’s hair. I know he’s had some “work” done and it really shows in some pics!
- Rachael McKenzie on
Great tie John!
The continued flagrant absence of Jett is getting a bit obvious. No, he may not do well in social settings but they keep denying that he has autism, to themselves and others, and that is such a tragedy and an issue of neglect. Actually I am surprised a photographer doesn’t ask, “Where’s Jett.”

Save Jett!

So what you are saying is Ella looks like Edna Turnbladt? lol

Ella is adorable, the family looks great! WHERE THE HAY IS JETT?!
- Campbell on
Christine, my son is also autistic and enjoys outings, shopping, etc.. Not all autistic children are the same. Some are better in social situations than others. Once again…I am really disappointed in this family for leaving their son out of not just the premier, but the recent posts of interviews with John. All he continues to talk about it Ella. It makes me feel so bad for Jett.

I really feel for Jett. They act as if he doesn’t even exist.

Well, I think John and Kelly’s pesonal life belongs to no one but them..how can anyone say such of thing about his family. You can tell John and Kelly has lots of love for each other and their family. No one knows the real story it is all presumption on everyone’s part. Only John and Kelly knows and they perfer to keep it private. Personally I don’t blame him. It really is no one business anyway.
John and Kelly sorry about Jett’s death…sending prayers your way.
