Wentworth Miller ready to settle down – when he has the time

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller, 35, confessed that he would love to settle down but with his busy schedule, he has little time to date.

We are on the set maybe 14 hours a day, five days a week, which doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for socializing – I don’t get a lot of chance to date.

Despite his current single status, he has every intention to have a family.

 But it’s definitely something, a wife and kids, that I’m looking forward to experiencing at some point in the very near future.

And please no one get on me for thinking Wentworth is gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. You don’t know his sexual orientation anymore than I do so imo he’s gay. That being said I hope he gets the family he wants.

What proof do you have that he is gay? I have never heard this…not that that means its not true. Just asking!

he is definitely gay. if you live in L.A., you know where boys’ town is and know he spends every moment off the set there. there’s nothing wrong with him being gay. what’s wrong is that he has to go around saying ridiculous things like that he wants a “wife” to get the media off his back. i feel for the guy. it’s a sad situation.
same with sean hayes, etc.

So, you’re basing the fact that he’s supposedly gay on the idea that he hangs out in the gay areas/clubs/etc? You know, gays do have straight friends who hang out with them in their spots. And sometimes straights hang out there because the clubs are pretty hot to be in, period. Ever think of that?

He could be doing the same thing, and that doesn’t mean he’s gay. I hang out with my friends and family in areas like that with them, so what! I have a good time there, too bad others don’t know how to without someone assuming they’re something they’re not. Even if people do, I’m sure they could care less.

Anyhow, if he’s looking for a wife and someone to have some babies with, he can holler at me!

You know, it’s a sad day in time when a man says he’s straight by saying he wants a wife and kids yet people would rather believe the grapevine than what comes directly from the horse’s mouth. Even if he lived with the biggest flaming homosexual in the world, unless you have a direct camera into that home or he comfirms it, his word means more than some gossip hags. You know what they say about Assumming………

I think gay actors always make comments like these to the press to counteract gay rumors. It’s pretty well known that Jake Gyllenhaal is gay and he had an identical interview to this one a year ago. I remember Kevin Spacey giving an interview years ago like this to Playboy Magazine—and I know from personal experience (we have common friends) that he does not date women. It’s just part of the game these young actors have to play and it’s very sad and hard for them.

That said, I’m sure Wentworth Miller probably does want to settle down with a partner and have kids. It’s a shame he can’t say “Settle down with a nice guy…” because the world is still too closed-minded.

I think it’s hilarious when people swear up and down that some actor or celebrity they’ve probably never met and know nothing about beyond what they read in interviews, see on TV, ect, is gay. Seriously how on earth could you possibly know the person’s sexuality unless you’re their partner or are close enough to them to know their sexual preferences? Anyhow gay or straight I enjoy WM’s work as an actor and it’s nice to hear that he’s looking forward to family.

I too think he’s gay and feels the need to cover it up for his career to survive in Hollywood. What surprises me is how upset one or two of you got at the thought that Wentworth Miller might be gay. Will being gay make you look at him differently?

I have heard alot that he is gay. If he is gay he could have simply said i would like to have children some day. He did not have to mention the wife. Who cares if he is. He is very hot i’m sure he would have no problem finding some one to have his baby!

Gabriella, I’m not upset by the thought of him being gay. Gay, straight, or in between the man is still as gorgeous as all get out, a wonderful actor, and I’d still have his baby. What upsets me is people assuming because they heard something or saw him somewhere they know more than he does and have an absolute ringing authority. If he says he wants a wife and kids, why assume he’s lying? Let’s say he’s gay and he’s just not in a place yet that makes him comfortable with it, who gives me, you, or tabloid hounds the right to force him into public acknowledgement? Maybe he feels he can still have the trappings of a heterosexual life and be who he is. Maybe…. *gasps* he really IS straight! The point is we don’t know, and to negate anything he says because some tabliod gossip hag says different is slanderous and mean in my opinion.

He’s gay and I wish he’d just own up to it. It’s 2007! Everytime gay celebrities keep themselves in the closet longer, they hurt the young gays/lesbians who are having a hard time accepting themselves. The suicide rate amoungst gay teen males is tragic.

“No, I’m not gay. I know these rumors are out there…I’m cool with the fact that they exist, I mean this is about fantasy. Certain people are going to have certain fantasies. If someone wants to imagine me with a woman, or a man or one of each, that’s cool with me as long as you keep watching the show.” Here he says he would like “a wife and kids”.

I could care less if this guy is gay or straight, it wouldn’t change the fact that I love his show and think he is an amazing actor. Until it comes from his mouth what right does anybody have to speculate he is gay. I usually love reading CBB comments and discussions but I don’t understand what this debate has to do with the content of this site. I think you should stick to what you think about him saying he wants kids not about him saying he wants a wife.

I think saying that calling somebody gay is “slanderous” and “mean” makes it seem like you think there’s something wrong with him being gay. We don’t know for sure whether or not he’s gay, but to me, it’s the same thing as saying he’s Jewish or a vegetarian.

ok, news to me that there are gay rumours about both him and Jake Gyllenhaal.

tho i dont care if they are gay straight or celibate, their life, their choice. i hope that one day he gets the family he dreams of.

but i am inclined to believe him over reports of “our sources say” over here in the UK the few people i have known to come out have never openly said they would like a wife, it has always been cleverly done with ‘one day with a partner…’ or ‘i would like to settle down…’ never gender specific.

“slanderous” and “mean” doesn’t mean I see anything wrong with being gay. Just because I won’t cow to the general consensus and assume he’s gay doesn’t mean I have any issue with it. Like it or not, to spread gossip about someone after they’ve addressed the rumor is *drumroll please*…..SLANDEROUS. It’s a legal term, not a moral one. To say that someone is lying to the general public or themselves or betraying the whole gay community by not acknowledging what *you* feel to be the truth after they’ve said other wise is *drumroll please*….MEAN. I’m not going to back down from that to assuage anyone and it certainly doesn’t make me uncomfortable with any element of homosexuality.

I thought I read on some reliable source as well that he’s gay… (oh sorry “homosexual” for those of you who find the word ‘gay’ itself an insult). I wish I remembered now where I read that.

Either he isn’t, in which case that’s weird that everyone seems to say so, or he is, and its unfortunate he feels he needs to deny it.

Andjust cause someone in Hollywood says they’re straight, doesn’t mean it’s true, trust me. My husbands Gd-father used to date a well-known Chicago actor that was once linked to one of the most famous of actresses. You’d be surprised how many people hide that (which bugs me, I mean women still love that guy from My Best Friend’s Wedding right? I know I do).

I hope he does settle down and have a family, be it wife or husband.

I agree w/ Grayson’s Girl it is SLANDEROUS. The guy said he wasn’t gay & wanted a wife, & some of you are calling him a liar. Unless you’re a guy & have dated him you have zero proof. It’s sad that some people believe something is true just because that lowdown sleazebag PH says it’s so.

PSB it isn’t a fact that Jake G is gay. So what he gave an interview like this. I’m sure just about every single mal celeb has at one point. Where they all gay too or have soem of them gone onto have wife & kids.

He seems like a sweet intelligent guy & I hope he gets the family he wants someday.

It isn’t slanderous if the person is a public figure. Wenty would only have a legal case if somebody fired him from a job because they heard he was gay–or if he lost work over the rumor. However, since there are so many sources propagating the rumor, it would be impossible for him to sue everybody who spread the rumor or to prove that one specific source was the cause of him losing work over his alleged sexuality.

I don’t think gay rumors about stars are mean because: 1) I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being gay, and 2) He’s a public figure – it’s part of the package when you become a star, whether you like it or not. It’s not like anybody is claiming he killed or raped somebody. Why get so offended by this? Famous people have their sexuality speculated about all the time.

Every gay guy in Hollywood already knows this hunkalicious actor prefers men, but he’s being gagged by his managerial team, and NOT allowed to admit it! He’d LOVE to come out of the closet! He HATES doing those interviews that always focus on his mysterious love life. But he’s a leading man type and there’s too much money riding on his sex appeal to women and macho identity to men! He’s featured on a popular TV series that shoots far from Hollywood. While he’s on location, our hunk openly lives with his boyfriend . Setsiders aren’t inclined to gossip about him because they want to keep the show on the air. They fear a gay star might turn off viewers of both sexes. But it leaves our gorgeous actor feeling miserable and awkward. He’s not enjoying his success.
