The Douglas children snore!

Catherine Zeta-Jones checks on her two children, Dylan Michael, 6 1/2, and Carys Zeta, 4, with husband Michael Douglas, before she goes to bed;

At night, before I go to bed, I check to make sure they’re still breathing. But that’s easy because my kids snore. We all snore. We’re like an orchestra.

Do your children snore?

I don’t have children that snore, but I was surprised to read recently that snoring is very common in pregnant women, specifically as women enter their third trimester. At least 25% of pregnant women snore at some point during their pregnancy, and the same number or more continue to snore after their pregnancy is over, even if they didn’t snore prior to their pregnancy. Did anyone here have that experience?

I snored during my pregnancy, mostly later. It was so bad that hubby used to sleep downstairs sometimes and said he could STILL hear me! I was worried it would be permanent, but it wasn’t. I also had a problem with stinky feet while I was pregnant and I’ve never had that before in my life. Luckily, that went away, too. ;-)

My two year old daughter snores quite regularly but it gets a lot worse when she has a head cold. I’m snoring like a trouper at the moment as I am pregnant (one week overdue in fact) and I snored all through my final trimester last time too.

Olive oil is a cure for snoring. My advice for those who snore or live with someone who snores: take a sip of olive oil before bed. It lubricates the throat and helps you breathe better while you sleep. I’m trying to convince my dad to sip olive oil before bed because he snores so loud I can hear him from one end of the house to the other.
