ROVE Live's Carrie Bickmore talks exercise and pregnancy

07/09/2007 at 09:56 PM ET

Australia Carrie Bickmore, the infamously funny newsreader on Rove Live and Melbourne’s Nova 100 radio station spoke to WHO (People‘s sister magazine) this week about her pregnancy and exercise. Carrie and her partner, Greg Lange are expecting their first child together in September.

Carrie says that she seems to be comfortable with her body.

I would say I have become less obsessed the older I am getting and learning to enjoy those bits of my body I always hated. Being pregnant has helped – it’s taught me to let my body do its own thing. I’ve spent many years trying to keep my shape, but now I just have to watch my body expand more and more every day, and I love it.

Her exercise regime.

I used to go to the gym every morning before work but now that I’m pregnant I’m swimming and I love going for walks with my girlfriends because I can chat and walk at the same time. I especially like doing it when I am stressed out, because it sends the calming vibes throughout my body and takes my mind off things. You just feel more positive about life.

Did exercise help you relax during your pregnant? If not exercise, what else?

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
