Detroit Tigers’ Jason Grilli and his wife, Danielle, are expecting their first child and he makes sure that everyone knows it. The right-handed pitcher has on display at his locker a recent ultrasound picture of the couple’s baby who is due on February 11. It is too early to tell the sex of the baby but the couple plans to find out later on.
The couple resides in Orlando, Florida on the off-season so the due date works perfect given the fact that Jason will report to Spring Training Camp around the same time in Lakeland, Florida. Lakeland is only about 30 minutes away from the couple’s residence so the 30-year-old first time dad is excited.
It will give me reason to hurry up and get my work done and hurry homeand shoot home and spend the rest of the afternoon, day, as much timeas I can with the baby and take care of mommy.
