Family is top priority for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

07/07/2007 at 04:46 PM ET

There’s a reason Faith Hill and Tim McGraw always schedule theirSoul2Soul tours in the summer – the rest of the year, and most of theirtime for that matter, is dedicated to their daughters, GracieKatherine, 10, Maggie Elizabeth, 8 1/2, Audrey Caroline, 5 1/2. Timsays their careers have and will always be secondary to theirkids.

With three kids, and school, and Girl Scouts, gymnastics and softballand basketball, that’s why we only tour in summer. The rest of the yearwe’re just taxi drivers with a credit card. We have a list ofeverything that our family has to do — children-wise,individual-wise, husband-and-wife-wise — and we update it every month, and that’s the first thing on the list. We hand it in to both ourmanagement offices and say, ‘This is what we’re having to do thismonth, anything that we do work-wise has to negotiate around thesethings.’

The girls have always joined Faith and Tim on tour and each has her owndressing room as well. The two have said Soul2Soul 2007 is most likely their last jointtour, which means more quality family time. Faith adds,

We love more being a family and being normal and being Mom andDad — that’s our pleasure in life, doing the things we do every day.

Just saw them in DC last night. It was awesome! Maggie came on stage and helped her dad sing “Last Dollar”

It must have been fun to see them in concert. I went in saw Faith a few months after she had Maggie. They seem like such a happy family.

Kudos to Tim and Faith for putting family first :-)
I saw them in Philadelphia last week and Tim had five girls (I believe his three and two of Lori McKenna’s children?) up on stage to sing “Last Dollar”. It was a very sweet moment. You can really tell Tim and Faith are so proud of their kids :-)

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
